Jonathan's POV

I shook my head no in response to Phoenix's question.

She looked at me quizzically, did I do something wrong? Hope not...I don't remember the "Luminary titan" - as they call it - looking at me at all. Maybe cause I was unconscious by then? Yeah, thats gotta be the reason. "Its getting pretty dark out, you children should go to sleep now." Mikasa spoke to break the awkward silence. Glad she did.

I nodded, suddenly having an interest for the ground. Liyanna looked at me before opening her mouth,"Hey Jona, you can sleep in the girls dorm for now. Theres a free bunk if you want it." I was pretty sure my eyes were the equivalent size as plates cause the next thing the quartet did was laugh.

"R-Really...? But you just met me..." My gaze fell to the ground again.

"Yep, if you decide to run, we have dipstick here shoot ya," Phoenix sniggered, earning a whack over the head from Isaac. "Oi!" Their argument was abruptly stopped by Cassidy flicking their foreheads.

"Gah!"

"Aye!"

The two both glared at the younger girl. While she stood laughing.

"So? You gonna sleep in the dorm or nah?" Liya says to me, through the mini ruckus. I nod quickly,"Y-Yes..." Said brunette nodded, too, heading towards the girls dorm. "Oi! You three!" She barked, not turning around, "Come on already! Stop flirting, jeesh."

I pursed my lips into a straight line, trembling. Holding in my laugh as Phoenix and Isaac jerked their heads to Liya's direction. "Liya!!!!!" They both shout angrily.

"Whaaaat?" Shrug. "Im just pointing out the obvious~" I could see the huge smirk on Liya's face. Even though I have known the trio for a small amount of time, it was as if they let her in already.

But she knew it wouldn't be that easy.

Liya's hand wrapped around the door knob as she twisted it, pushing it open. "Oi. Isaac, you're supposed to be in the boys dorm. Baka." Her nonchalant mood surprised me. This was her best friend, almost sister, she was talking to.

And yet, they still teased, tortured, and played with each other.

"Your bunk is that one, Jona," Liya points to the bottom left bunk. She made her way to the bathroom, closing the door behind her. Cassidy yawned, and walked into the room with pajama's already on.

When...?

Isaac, as expected, was nowhere to be seen. So that meant he went to the boys dorm. Liya reopened the door, allowing access to Phoenix. Who went in to change.

It wasn't long before I was to change and shower. And it surely wasn't long before I hit the bed, falling into a not-so-lovely dream.

I blinked, sitting up on what felt like grass. Damp, sticky grass. It was dim out.

"How did I get out here...?" I asked myself, taking a look around. It was shinganshina. Before the fall. But...it was...different...it was...

Desolated.

I wandered around the creepy, abandoned district. After what seemed like an hour of wandering - what had most likely been 15 minutes - I stumbled upon a boy. He looked my age.

Around 15.

His eyes...so warm...

Skin...tender to the touch...

Could it...could it be...?

We stared at each other from a small distance, not moving in the slightest. The boy had decided to make the first move and opened his mouth, it was then when I remembered who he was. It was then I saw the bruises on his injured body.

"Jona..."

My eyes widened, sprinting at an inconsiderate rate to the boy, I kneeled down by him. "I-...is it...re-really...you...?" He barely managed to choke out, with pleading eyes.

I nodded rapidly.

Tears.

Tears had sprung my eyes.

Titans above, it was him.

I launched forward, hugging him so tightly I was sure he would pass out then and there. "I can't believe it's you... How long... I... I'm sorry. Oh god," I pulled away. My mouth tasted salty. My vision so blurry I could barely make out his face.

He chuckled and pulled my into a nicer, warmer, less deadly embrace. His shirt slowly soaked in the crystalline drops of dew that escaped my eyes. I took in a shaky breath before whispering, "Sammi."
