I arrived at Owens with my arms folded across my chest, Owen ran to me as soon as he noticed me. He went in for a kiss, but my hand swooped in the way of his face. Owen stepped back, looking confused. Leaves rustled on the floor, water scurried the opposite direction of us.
"I thought you-" Owen began before I interrupted him.
"No, no, I'm sorry. I'm a third person," My emotions started getting angrier and angrier inside.
"Umm, no. Your like the second person I've ever kissed, that's under the age of seventy." Owen tried to lighten the mood.
I laughed a bit, then my fake smile turned straight again. "Don't you mean that your still in love with?"
"What?"
"It's your fault me and Jess hate each other! Your the one who kissed me, and you knew that Jess was your girlfriend! I hate you so much right now!"
"Let me tell you my side of the story," I nodded in approval. "Okay, Jess or Jessica and I we were in love, like true love. Keyword; were, one night under stars, it was romantic and all, but I didn't feel right about Jess. I needed to tell her anytime soon, so I told her. She seemed really mad, we haven't even talked since then. I guess she's having a hard time getting over it." Owen sighed, and walked away.
I was unsure who to forgive, Owen; the guy who saved me or Jess; the girl who started talking to me when I begun. I walked back to my car, turned the radio on and ironically, Sam Smith started playing.
"There might be lovers who hold out their hands but," I sang. "I'll never love you like I can, can, can."
I arrived at my hotel, with a fully grown Trike standing outside. It's funny how fast dinosaurs age. I petted his nose and then an unfamiliar figure approached me.
"Hello, Erin. I'm Claire," She reached out her hand, and I shook it politely. "It's great to finally meet you!"
"You too! Mrs. Scoulding told me a lot about you!" I smiled.
"Hope they're all good," Claire laughed a bit.
"Only good!"
"Anyway, I'm sure you have been working hard so this is for you!" She took a slip out from her clipboard and handed it to me. I didn't take a glance at it, yet.
"Thank you, I have a question for you," I paused a bit.
"Yes?"
"What is the Indomonius Rex made of?" I was certain that was the question I wanted to ask.
"Well, she's part Tyrannosaurus Rex and part," Claire paused. "That parts classified."
"You don't know what it is?" I shook my head and walked away, very grateful for the paper Claire handed me.
I took a peek at the paper and noticed the words 'Pay check' in bold and I tried so hard to contain my joy. In my head I done a happy dance, which didn't look like the thing I wouldn't want to do in real life. I was focusing hard on who I should stick with, someone who took me in or someone who saved my life. My head kept chanting these as I thought.
Who should I even choose?
