As Rapunzel pulled the two men up with her golden hair, Bumblebee took a deep breath and exhaled in relief, knowing that the Royal Guards would never look to find them in a place like this.

Once inside the tower, Rapunzel quickly asked, "Where is his wound?"

Bumblebee replied without hesitation, "Right here," and swept some of the thief's silky brown hair to the side, uncovering a nasty bruise on his forehead. Rapunzel winced but soon composed herself to begin her incantation.

Much to Bumblebee's surprise, her hair started to glow as she sang, "Flower gleam and glow, let your power shine, make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine, heal what has been hurt, change the fate's design, save what has been lost, bring back what once was mine, what once was mine."

As soon as Rapunzel slowly opened her eyes, she could see the astonishment on Bumblebee's face. "I know, it's hard to believe, but my hair has this gift to heal any injury," Rapunzel explained.

Bumblebee's smile turned into a frown instantly as he asked,"So you hang around inside this tall tower all by yourself so that no one will try to abuse your power?"

Rapunzel nodded slowly, then added with a giggle,"Well, not I'm not exactly alone. I have Pascal."

"I wonder where he went..." Rapunzel said to herself as she went up to the balcony to look for Pascal.

She soon gave off a playful smirk, saying, "I guess Pascal is not hiding out here."

Pascal giggled in amusement, only for Rapunzel to use her hair to surprise him, exclaiming, "Gotcha!"

Pascal turned into his original green color, frowning at being caught so easily

Bumblebee couldn't help but smile fondly at Pascal. "He's a chameleon, right?"

Rapunzel smiled brightly. "Yep, he sure is. I've known Pascal for years, and he's always been here to keep me company as I paint." Bumblebee soon gazed fondly at all the paintings Rapunzel had created over the years. He then decided to ask her, "Just how long have you been up here?"

Rapunzel chuckled nervously. "18 years, I guess. Well, it will be once it's my birthday tomorrow."

Suddenly, they heard groans. Bumblebee and Rapunzel had forgotten all about the thief. Rapunzel quickly got her frying pan out, and Bumblebee clenched his hands into fists. The thief cried out, "Woah! Just what do you two think you're doing?"

Bumblebee angrily replied, "Don't play dumb! You stole a satchel. I bet there's something inside that of it that's not yours."

The thief couldn't believe it.

How did he? he thought.

As he was trying to process everything that was going on, he made a remarkable realization. "Wait." He turned his attention to Bumblebee. "You were the one who saved me from the guards? And you helped me even though you knew I was stealing something."

Bumblebee explained, "I only helped you because there was a nasty wound on your head."

Rapunzel asked as she tightened her grip on her frying pan. "What is your name?"

The thief slowly said, "It's Flynn Rider."

Rapunzel, lowering her guard a little bit, said, "I'm Rapunzel, and this is my new friend Bumblebee."

Flynn Rider asked in confusion, "Aren't we not friends too?"

Rapunzel said, her left eyebrow rising up in suspicion. "I'm not sure about that. Bumblebee did say you are a thief."

Flynn Rider exclaimed, "Oh, come on, all I stole was a little—wait, oh my gosh, where is it? Where is my satchel?" Rapunzel crossed her arms and said in a very confident tone, "I've hidden it! Somewhere you'll never find it."

Flynn Rider looked straight at a vase that was standing very close to where the three were standing. "It's in that pot, isn't it?" Rapunzel quickly exclaimed to Bumblebee, "Cover your ears," and then knocked Flynn with her frying pan. Bumblebee gasped in genuine shock.

Rapunzel defended herself, saying, "Flynn Rider has a satchel that most likely has something very valuable inside. If he were to sell it, he would have used it to live a life of luxury he doesn't deserve..." She paused to see a freaked out look coming from Bumblebee.

"You're right. I'm sorry. I just thought that was the best thing to do at that moment." Rapunzel said, realizing her mistake.

Bumblebee chuckled, "Hey, we all make mistakes. Once that thief wakes up, we've got to find a way for him to take us to see the lanterns. I can't help but feel that they're meant for us." Rapunzel was absolutely taken aback. "How did you know that it's always been my dream to see them?"

Bumblebee walked towards the painting of Rapunzel herself, gazing upon a beautiful array of lanterns floating across the sky.

"Your paintings speak volumes about your dreams," Bumblebee said softly, a warm smile playing on his lips. Rapunzel felt a rush of emotions, grateful for the understanding in Bumblebee's gaze. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice filled with sincerity.

As they stood there, lost in a moment of shared connection, they heard Flynn Rider stirring. Bumblebee gently placed a hand on Rapunzel's shoulder, silently reassuring her that Flynn will help them.
