Chapter 2

Jonah's wolf form

Jonah's pov

I feel warm and alive, like something is bringing me out of this cold darkness I've been stuck in. It gets warmer and I feel like my strength is returning to me after a vacation it didn't earn. Squinting my eyes open I am starring at a wooden ceiling that seems to be made of logs.

I lift my head up a bit and look around the room I am in; it has a simple queen size bed that I am currently laying on, a tall wooden dresser to my left that is up against the wall, a night stand to my right next to the bed, and three doors that I'm assuming are the bathroom, the closet, and the door to enter and exit the room. There is also a window above my head that stretches the length of the bed frame. The floor is a beautiful hard wood floor made of red wood and the walls are like they were made of logs, kind of like the ceiling.

I hear an ear piercing screech/roar from outside. I jump out of the bed and look out the window. Above in the sky is a black lizard wolf thing. It looks menacing and ready to tear any living thing apart. I have never seen a creature like this before. But back at the large pond there was a creature somewhat like the one circling the house. Maybe they're the same species of creature. Out side it is some what dark, but the black flying lizard is still visible.

Few hours later

The sun is about to come up and the black flying lizard looks to be tiring out. The sun peaks out of the horizon, it stretches across the forest around the house. The light hits the black lizard in the sky, a blinding white light surrounding it as it slowing lowers to the ground in front of the window. When the white light fades away, in the place of the black lizard is the beautiful wolf creature that I saw at the large pond.

Does she turn into that lizard wolf creature at night? I thought to myself.

She looks up at the window I am looking out like she knew I would be looking out of it.
