- Picture of Blue -

I finished my extra work. Tomorrow I'll talk to my math teacher about putting me into a AP class. I don't want to always be asking for extra work.

"Ally! Get changed its 5:30pm, time to exercise the horses." My mom calls in a loud voice.

I got so caught up in my work I completely forgot. I jumped up and went into my closet full of riding clothes. I have way to many breeches for my own good. I pulled a pair of tailored sportsman navy breeches with a white sun-shirt and dark blue with white buckle C4 belt. I take pride in my riding outfits or any outfit that has to due with horses.

I run downstairs and enter the tack room. 2 horses to exercise tonight. First horse is Blue my dapple grey TB/Warmblood. Blue is 16.2h gelding at the age of 9. His show name is Chasing Blues. I've had him for 1 year now and have loved him since day one. He's my main competition horse in the Jumpers and does his job incredibly well.

I went to Blues stall and brought him over to the wash stall. I know it's called a wash stall but I've never used it for washing. Anyway I proceed to groom Blue then tack him up. I use a Stubben Zaria Biomex saddle with the Ecogold flip halfpad and Ogilvy saddle pad. All decked out in fancyness. Almost all my horses use Micklem bridles or flash bridles. Blue uses a brown Flash bridle with fancy stitching. I then put on his galloping boots for protection. All ready to go.

If you were wondering about me and safety, I always wear a helmet! Mind your melon people. I have a Charles Owen AYR8 plain black on silver because it's as classy as $400 buys me. And a pair of Ariat heritage field tall boots for schooling.

Time to ride and gallop around like a manic. Just kidding. We don't gallop around like manics. I condition on these kinds of rides.

I exit the barn and mount Blue from the make shift block I have. I adjust myself in the saddle then ask for a forward walk. Blue has the most amazing forward gaits. I still can't believe a little over a year ago Blue was a "lost cause". I admit I'm a sucker for taking in rescue/unwanted horses. All my equines were rescue or unwanted.
