We were married under the big oak tree. I know lots of people have a lot of trouble writing their vows, but I didn't even have to write mine down. It was very simple. I wrote: I will always love you just as much as I have since we were kids. It was simple, but it meant everything I needed to say. I couldn't promise her a good house, lots of money or a great life, but I could offer her my heart. After all, she'd had it since we were just kids.
I woke up to the sound of tiny footsteps. They rang out throughout the house, getting closer until they reached the end of my bed. I looked and saw large blue eyes peeking over the sheets at me. "Come here!" I chuckled, preparing myself for a hug. A beautiful little girl climbed up and clambered into my arms. She looked exactly like her mom. I turned over to look at the other side of the bed. There she was. The first girl I had ever loved. Her freckles showed against her white skin. Her blue eyes shone in the morning sun. Her hair glimmered. That beautiful golden hair. I kissed her and closed my eyes, feeling the most happy I have ever been in my life.
