~Victoria~
A pair of familiar hands firmly gripped my tiny wrist, forcing me to stay planted to the ground. "Don't you dare ignore me, Victoria," a voice growled with anger. I smirked in pure amusement. Such an ego...
I met Jeremy's forest green eyes, which seemed darker than usual. His eyes were also rimmed with red, as if he was lacking sleep or maybe he had been smoking weed. His chocolate, brown hair messily remained under a maroon beanie. His jaw tightened stiffly as I faked a sweet smile.
"What a scene, Jeremy. Seems too cliché for you, don't you think?"
"You've been ignoring me for the past two weeks. And suddenly I hear you're going out of state? What the actual fuck! I'm your boyfriend, so treat me like one!"
My eyes widened in surprise but I held my composure and cleared my throat. "Ex-boyfriend, asshole"
Jeremy's face contorted into confusion as I uttered those magic words. His grip on my wrist tightened even more. I jerked my hand away, clutching my mocha frappe and Leight's pumpkin bread.
I awkwardly cleared my throat before continuing. "I don't want to hear any of your bullshit excuses right now. If you honestly didn't want me, you could've told me."
Jeremy silently looked down. "It's not that I didn't wa-"
Jeremy's voice was abruptly cut off by a swift and powerful smack. A lively gasp escaped my lips as Leight stood beside Jeremy, irritation filling her eyes.
I flashed Leight a thankful smile before handing her the pumpkin bread and mocha frappe. I bent down to scoop up the carry-on bags that Leight had dropped to properly smack Jeremy. "Let's go," I said proudly. Leight simply nodded.
After boarding the plane, we finally found our seats in the first class section. I slumped down, already exhausted. Leight gasped in delight as she observed the surrounding. "This is fantabulous!" I laughed at her innocent excitement and nodded. "Yeah, it's pretty snazzy."
It had been about twenty minutes since the flight had taken off and I was already feeling slumberous. I turned to face Leight, who was nibbling away on her pumpkin bread and reading her novel. Slowly, I reached my index finger out to tap her shoulder, eagerly grabbing her attention. She looked up. "Hm?"
"I'm taking a nap." Leight nodded and focused her attention on the book again. I pulled out my iPod from my jeans pocket and plugged in the headphones, before settling on a comfortable position and dozing off...

Our flight had reached its destination securely and we were now searching for our personal luggage in baggage claim. Leight suddenly ran over to a particular baggage carrasoul and waved me over. "Here! I found ours," she exclaimed brightly. I reached for my luggage, tugging it forcefully towards me.
"Ugh! So much energy was exerted and even wasted just coming here," I said scornfully as the wheels of my roller luggage had finally made contact with the waxed floor.
Leight gave me a sympathetic smile. "Well, at least we're not back at that apartment, wasting our Spring Break. We wouldn't be able to afford a decent trip on our own. Instead we'd live like hermits for a week"
I slightly hesitated before nodding. She was absolutely correct. "Leight, stop ruining my rants," I said with a grin.
Leight simply smirked. "Let's go get a taxi."
