She stared; stared straight through the cracked and shattered glass back at the slightly distorted and dirtied image of herself. Void. This was who she was. A human. But she stared not in vain self-obsession or narcissist egotism. She stared more in fascination, wonder and perhaps bewilderment as well. This was the form her creators had chosen for her? Short, silky smooth black hair now turned gritty and coarse through battle; eyes like a hollow vortex of shadows with no definition between iris and pupil. Not to mention her pure white armour turned slush-grey, crimson red and pale brown through the slaughter that she had created.

Slaughter. She had killed many that day? Yesterday? Or was it the day before? She had no way of telling the time except through the glances at clocks if and when they appeared.

She leaned a shaky hand on the side of the grubby sink. This place had been abandoned long ago.

After Glen had fainted, she had decided that they had to flee; an unconscious and limp Glen would be a burden to her. So she had fled to a small village in nearby Croatia. Even though Void had no knowledge of what country she was, probably had no idea of what a country was to begin with.

Void strode back into the empty living room. Empty except for one limp Brit on the floor. He had shown no signs of waking up for a while now. But she needed information. This individual was her only chance of getting help. Still she remained patient; waiting for the day or hour when he would wake and answer her.

She stood cautiously by the window now, allowing the sun to warm her tired bones and sore muscles. She ducked behind the tattered curtain whenever she sensed someone nearby, fortunately having dragged Glen to a place where he was safely hidden from prying eyes.

But right now she sensed no one nearby so felt safe to stand and watch as the town went by.She was fine like this - not happy, she had learned long ago that she was incapable of feeling emotion - until shuffling behind her caught her attention. She had spun with such speed her hair lashed at her own face violently. But she payed no attention to this... her eagle-like eyes were trained on Glen.

His movements slow, with added painful grunting and anguished groans as she shifted on the floor. A flimsy hand reached his face after much effort and rubbed his eyes roughly open. His eyes were wide as he glanced around, showing complete confusion. He grunted in bewilderment, but his feeble attempts to stand were futile as he only collapsed back onto his back.

"I would say good morning... but I have no way of telling the time," Void stood up straighter, placing her hands behind her back as she stared down at the man who was now gawking at her.

"Don't faint," she snapped bluntly.

"Wh...-"

"I should be asking you where we are, you know this planet better than I," she interrupted; in no mood to wait for him to recover. he was awake, and she wanted answers now.

After a few tensed minutes dragged on and on, Glen finally blinked; "I don't even know.... I only just woke up here!"

Void stood for a while longer, contemplating his words carefully. After eventually realising he was correct in what he said she let out an emotionless sigh; strode swiftly over to Glen; grabbed his arms roughly; heaved him up and forced him to stumble weakly over to the window. "Recognise?" She raised one eyebrow, never turning away from his face.

"This.... definitely near Italy," he mumbled.

"Italy?" Her voice became demanding.

"C-country." Glen dare not look her way, her eyes were piercing the soft flesh of his face.

"Country?"

"A piece of land owned by a government and lived on by citizens... roughly..." Glen wasn't entirely sure how to answer her question... why was he even answering them?
