Meanwhile, back in the kingdom the king had received the news of the princess' abduction. He was furious and called for a group of his best knights  to go and retrieve his daughter no matter the cost. And with that the knights departed for the woods on what was the beginning of their doom. The group of brave knights made their way through the once peaceful woods, that now settle in a dense fog and are inhabited by many vicious and mysterious creatures. "This warlock had already begun to plague the land. Imagine what life would be if he did steal the throne..." "That's not going to happen as long as we can rescue the princess from his dreary tower here in the forest" replied the lead knight. "That's of course dependent on the fact that we CAN find this tower. The fog here is so thick that it's nearly impossible to make out what's two feet in front of us." The tail knight retorted.
Suddenly the knights hear a loud vicious roar from an unknown beast. They stop in their tracks whilst preparing themselves for a defensive strike if needed. The knights then begin to circle the area back to back, constantly changing perspective in hopes that they might spot the source of the roar. This however was a futile effort as the one knight quickly discovered as he felt a warm gooey slime hit the nape of his neck followed by a expulsion of warm air. This unexpected sensation caused him to stiffen in fear as the other knights crashed into one another from the abrupt stop. The knight to his right turned to him and asked "Why'd you stop so suddenly captain?" The captain could only point upward to the sky in hopes that he had just imagined the ooze that is now creeping down his back.
The other Knights looked up to see what the captain was pointing at to be met by a tremendous ear splitting roar. With that the Knights all began to run back the way they had previously come from but were met with an untimely attack as the stumbled upon a pack of about a hundred hungry creatures. Only one knight made it from the forest, and he returned to the king ashamed and as a barer of news. Upon approaching the king the knight dropped to his knees and pleaded an apology for returning alone and empty handed. The king just sat in silence awaiting the Knights report. The knight then told the king of the treacherous forest and the beasts that had slain and been slain within.
The knight also had a message from one of the beasts. "My master laughs at your attempts of rescuing your daughter from his grasp. Your failure amuses him so. However he grows tired of you're insolence and reluctance to give him what he so desires. To this regard he bestows upon you an ultimatum. By tomorrow when the setting sun is all but gone from the sky you will either surrender your throne or the blessing to wed your daughter at which the throne will his upon your death. The choice is yours alone but one will be most unpleasant." This outraged the king and caused him to lash at all those in his presence and sending them away so that he may be alone with his thoughts.
Just as the door had been slammed shut by the king, a brilliant light erupted in the room. After the light had subsided the king turned to be greeted by a single person. "Hello, your majesty. I've heard of your troubled times and of the capture of your daughter and I've come to help...
