When I turned around it wasn’t Drake that stood in front of me, It was a large black wolf. His Fur was thick and full but still soft. When I looked into his eyes they were a silver blue, and that could only mean one thing. It was Drake in front of me in that form. “Wow,” I breathed. Drake cocked his head to his side as if to say ‘really? That’s all you have to say?’ I just rolled my eyes and then became serious once more, “Are they coming?” Drake nodded and I looked down, hastily walking over to him. He crouched down and I quickly lifted my leg up over him securely placing myself on his back.
He suddenly jolted forward and I almost tumbled off of him if I hadn’t had latched onto a handful of his fur. It took me a minute to get used to him running. I then thought about where his clothes went, then felt stupid because while I had been facing the other way, he threw them at me and I stuffed them into my bag.
While the wind whipped at my face I looked up, I saw the full moon which sat still and strong through the leafless branches of the trees. It felt…right to be here. I stared at the beautiful scene before me, and watched as the mountains came closer. It wasn’t until we were really close to the mountains rocky side that Drake came to a sudden stop. I couldn’t see anything but he continues walking, the looking to the side where there was a small cave. I got off of him and he walked inside, then after a couple of minutes stepped out as if to say ‘there is nothing in there’. I followed him back inside.
Right as he laid down I yawned, then came up to him laying my head on his fur drifting into a deep sleep.

It was fuzzy when I woke up, and took me a moment to realize where I was. I was in a field, it was calm and peaceful. I looked around and then down, I wasn’t in my normal jeans and t shirt, but in a white dress. The white dress was a Greek type toga that hung down to my knees, and my red brown hair hung down. “Renee,” a voice said I looked up, startled by the woman in front of me. She looked just like me, except older. Even her clothes were the same; except her hair was pinned to the side and her eyes were silver. Besides that she was an exact replica of me.
“Who are you and where am I?” I asked, curiosity covering every inch of my voice.
“You,” the woman started, “Are in a dream. As for I, my name is Eidon.”
“Why are you here?”
“I am here to help you, Renee. So lets start, what can you do so far? Powers wise.”
“Lift water,” I said staring at her.
“Really,” She furrowed her eyebrows, “Is that all you can do right now?”
I thought about it and then said, “Well I don’t know, unless throwing a creepy thing into a tree is different than lifting water.”
“I see,” She paused then continued, “And it is kind of the same thing, because your lifting something with your mind. But there is more for you to learn.” I nodded, “Well come on then! We’ve got work to do.” A tree and a small pond appeared out of no where. She helped me with bending the water, and doing multiple things with the tree. She also got me to the point where I could make an invisible shield to people I chose to not want to get through, but only for a couple of seconds.
We were finally getting to relax when a storm started rumbling in. Eidon looked worried.
“Renee, do you know what your name means?” Eidon suddenly asked.
“No, what?”
“It means reborn. Now, I don’t think that storm is good, so I can only assume we don’t have much time.” I nodded, “When I was a child, I was frustrated one day and a glass vase flew across the room and crashed. My parents were horrified I did something like that and sent me away. One day I was sleeping and I dreamt of a voice, it told me who I was and why I was here. The strange voice told me of terrifying creatures called Aevids sent out to destroy the world. It talked about me, and how I was a mistake, and that the Aevids were after me, too.” She started to disappear.
“Don’t leave!” I cried out.
“They got to me, Renee. And you were born to take my place. You are the one to save the rest of us.” She disappeared with one last sentence, “Don’t worry, I’ll be back and Renee, there are more of you 3 of them.” Then she was gone. Just like that, and I was pulled out of my dream the beautiful field being torn apart be the thrashing of the wind and rain.
I jolted awake taking a large intake of breath. I knew what I was here for now, no looking back. I was ready for tomorrow and I was ready for today.
