Chapter 3: Mr. Reynolds
"Mr. Reynolds." A man said. I looked at him, and realized I was actually about to kiss him. I mean we were a centimeter apart and then some guy came in. I stood up, and looked away. "Dinner is ready." I tried to get a look of the man that said that but all I saw was the back of him.
"Well he ruined the moment."
"There was no moment." I said.
"Oh, really so you telling me if he had not came in here, you still would have not kissed me."
"Moving on to a different subject...Where exactly am I?"
"At my home."
"Why? I mean come on, you could have just left me alone. Instead you brought me and into all this mess."
"I am sorry."
"Damn it, why? I mean it cause of you that I am here, you could have not told me, you should have stayed gone and stayed away from me. Then maybe my parents would have not died. You do realize there death was all your fault."
"Do you hate me?" He asked.
"Hate, yes."
"I am not the person you should hate." He said, his eyes blared at me.
"Then who? Ever since you told me the truth my life has been a mess. My parents got killed and you...well you did this." I waved my hands in the air, signaling me being trapped here.
"It has to be this way."
"What do you mean by that?"
I'm just so confused.
I know you are, and I am sorry for that.
Just give me answers. I thought.
On one condition.
What?
Say may name.
No
Why? I have been listening to your thoughts and you always avoid my name. Say it.
I closed my eyes were the answers that important, that I need to say his name?
Flashback:
"So Mitch now that I am in your car. Where are we headed? I am dying to know!" He looked at me and smiled.
"The park." I remember we had not been there since that night we got together. I smiled.
His car eased up into a parking spot.
"I have a picnic all set up."
Right then and there I admitted it to myself,
I Carrie Knight am falling for Mitch Danik.
We got out of the car and walked over to the middle of the park. I looked around and no one was here, but that was normal.
We sat down, that's when I noticed a brown basket by Mitch's side.
"Whats in there?" I asked. He glanced over to it.
"Some food."
"Yumm!" He laughed and opened it, he pulled out a plate of strawberries and some of...you guessed it..CHOCOLATE! I almost screamed. He saw my expression and laughed some more.
"What is it with you and chocolate?" He asked.
"I don't know, I just like it!"
"Oh, crap I forgot the drinks. I will be right back." He kissed me and got up. I laid down looking at the sky, it was almost dark out and stars were beginning to appear in the sky.
"Are you still wishing on stars?" I stood up. In front of me was a man, about 6 feet tall, and dark brown hair. He looked really familiar.
"Do I know you?" I asked.
"Oh come on, don't remember me, my love?" At this moment my heart stopped.
THE PRESENT MIXED WITH THE PAST:
"Jay."
