Chapter 4: Jay Reynolds

"There you happy, I said it, Jay, Jay Reynolds." He looked at me and frowned.

"Carrie, don't cry." I had not noticed tears falling down my face, great.

I hate you!

Why?

You killed my parents, how could you? All growing up they treated you like a son.

I didn't kill them.

Then who did?

The S.R.O did.

S.R.O...?

I think you have had enough answers for right now, how about we eat dinner?...Its getting cold.

I scanned the dinning room table and saw almost every kind of food imaginable laid out.

"I can't," I looked down at the marble floor.

"Is it cause of Abigal?" Jay asked. I nodded. "I promise you, she is eating right at this very moment...Come on sit, it will be like old times." I knew it would probably never be like old times.

Flashback:

"Jay?" I said, the man cocked a smile.

"In the flesh." I turned around and walked away. (leaving Mitch's picnic)

"CARRIE!" He yelled running after me. Once he caught up he gentle grabbed my elbow. "Come on, my love, don't be that way. I come back in town, and found you in the park...like old times... and you walk away? Please my love-"

"Don't call me that Jay, you moved away 6 years ago. You left without a word, no goodbye or anything. I went to your house and everything was gone, even you. Jay, how could you?"

"I am sorry, there were things that I need to do...my father is dying."

"Oh, I am sorry, I didn't know...But you could have the decency to walk next door to my house and tell me your leaving."

"It was a last minute thing-"

"JAY, ITS BEEN 6 YEARS, couldn't you at least pick up the phone and call me, explain to me what the hell was going on. YOU LEFT ME! Me, Carrie, you left me. The girl you grew up next to, the girl you told you her you loved her too, the girl who you had your first kiss with, the girl that has always been there for you. ME, and then you left. I couldn't even come up with a reason as to why you left, so when Abigal asked, I told her you were died. And to me Jay, your nothing but died." I ran off, tears falling. He dared not to come after me.

How could he show up, after all these years. I hate him!

Present time:

I sat down, done with out arguing. He smiled at me and sat down next to me.

"How have you been?" He asked.

"Like you care."

"I am serious, lately every time I talk to you, you end up storming off and crying."

"Maybe that is cause all we ever talk recently its been nothing but bad news...for me any ways."

"So lets talk about happy things."

"So, I am thinking a dark pit, with no sunlight." He looked at me with a questioning expression. "Oh, I am talking about something that makes me happy...A place to put you, way far and out of my life." He laughed.
