Chapter 20: Klaroline and Kennett???

Elena's POV

Dear Diary,

Life is great now that I have Lijah back! He has completely forgiven Nik. Now our family is closer than ever! Turns out Jer and Bekah are together now! I'm so happy for them! Finn and Sage are so cute together! We invited her to live with us and they haven't been apart since. Kol is trying so hard to get Bon to like him. ( Between me and you I think she already likes him. She's just playing hard to get ;) ) Matt and Ty are dating a set of twins. We get to meet them tonight. Their names are Makenzee and Maelynn. I can't wait to meet them! She's finally admitted his feelings for his best friend Lexi. Of course she had the same feelings. Even Nik is trying to move on! He's trying to get Caroline to like him! I feel bad for Caroline, she's so conflicted. I mean you can tell that she really likes Nik...somethings just holding her back. Maybe I should talk to her today. Those too deserve happiness too.

Me: Care!!!

Care came running in to see what was going on.

Care: What?!?!?! Are you OK?

Me: I'm fine Care. I just really need some girl time and Bon's out somewhere hiding from Kol. Do you wanna go to The Grill with me?

Caroline: Yeah sure, it gets me away from Nik.

Nik: One day you will admit your feelings for me Caroline!

Care: Only in your dreams Nik!

When she was saying that she had a smile on her face. When she noticed me looking she stopped smiling. I just rolled my eyes and grabbed my keys. After we got into the car Care turned towards me.

Care: Bon's been in her room for hours now. What's really going on Lena?

Me: You caught me. I wanted to talk to you about Nik.

She got a smile on her face at just the sound of his name. But like before it only lasted a second.

Care: What about Nik?

Me: You're kidding me right? I see the way you look at him when you think nobody is looking. You like him!

Care: I do not!

Me: Care.

Care: I don't.

Me: Caroline Forbes, stop lying to me. More importantly stop lying to yourself!

Care: OK fine, I like him!!! I'm a horrible person!

Me: No you aren't. Nik has always been different with you. He loves you Care. He loves you and you love him. Just stop fighting it. Because as long as you do...you will never be fully happy!

Care: You're right Lena! Can we still go to The Grill? I'm starving!

Me: Me too!

Me and Care went to The Grill. We ordered Cheeseburgers, fries, and Milkshakes. We were talking and laughing when Bon, Bekah, and Sage came walking through the door.
