   Home and Heat

A year had passed since the warehouse, since the viral photo, since the world had tried to break them. The countryside home had become their sanctuary. Birds sang, the wind rustled the trees, and for the first time in what felt like forever, the alpha and omega could breathe freely.

The omega was stretched across their bed, hair falling in soft waves across the pillow, the sunlight catching golden highlights. The alpha leaned against the headboard, fingers trailing lightly over his mate’s arm, eyes dark with desire.

“You’ve been teasing me all morning,” he murmured, lips brushing against the curve of the omega’s neck.

Jungkook smirked, hand sliding up to grip the alpha’s wrist. “Maybe I like watching you squirm,” he teased, voice low and playful. “You’ve been so serious for a year… thought you needed reminding that your omega can still make you weak in the knees.”

Vante growled softly, pressing a kiss to the omega’s collarbone. “Weak? You’re the strongest part of me,” he whispered. “But… yes… you make me weak in all the best ways.”

Hands tangled, breaths mingled, and the quiet of the countryside became their playground. Just as the tension reached its peak—just as the omega arched against him—the soft patter of tiny feet echoed down the hallway.

“Mommy! Daddy!”

The three cubs tumbled into the room, Taegukk leading the charge, Taeyeon close behind, and little Jungtae squealing in protest at being left out. The omega groaned, a mix of frustration and laughter.

“Not… now,” he hissed through a laugh, trying to cover the sudden chaos with a sheet.

The alpha buried his face in the omega’s hair, chuckling despite himself. “I think our audience has arrived,” he said, nuzzling the omega’s neck as Taegukk grabbed his sleeve, insisting on a story.

Taeyeon climbed onto the bed, insisting the alpha tickle her, and Jungtae—tiny but persistent—tried to join in, grabbing for his father’s hand. The bedroom erupted into giggles, shouts, and a mess of blankets, love, and tiny claws.

The omega leaned into the alpha’s chest, sighing. “Well… I guess some things never change.”

The alpha kissed his forehead, hands resting over the cubs and the omega. “No. Nothing ever changes. Except… we’ve won. We’re safe. Together. And they’re ours.”

Taegukk yelped, pointing at the alpha’s chest. “Daddy! More tickles!”

The alpha groaned dramatically, exchanging a look with his mate. “I guess… we’ll have to postpone adult time,” he said, smirking, voice full of teasing promise.

The omega laughed, rolling his eyes, but pressed close anyway. “Yeah… for now,” he admitted, lips brushing the alpha’s. “But tonight… you won’t escape me.”

And in that moment—chaos, laughter, tiny hands, and heartbeats intertwined—they were perfectly, completely, and joyfully a family.

Outside, the sun dipped low, casting a golden glow over the house. Peace, love, and laughter filled the air. Their New Dawn had arrived, not just as a dream, but as a living, breathing, messy, perfect reality.
