(Kanan pov)

I bring Ezra outside and sit down on the amp. I check behind me to make sure that Zeb or one of the others isn't listening, then turn to Ezra. He sits down and gives me a look. "What?"

"Ezra, please tell me that you don't love her. Please. After Crystal was a traitor and Jessie left, I would hate to see you get hurt again...." I say.

"Kanan, I've known Emma for 11 years. If she wanted to be anything other than friends, I would know it." My Padawan says.

"I guess. Still, Ezra, I struggle with this. Emma was an Imperial cadet. How do you know that she isn't working for the Empire?"

"Because she wouldn't. She wouldn't lie to me. I trust her, Kanan. Why can't you just take my word for it?" Ezra asks, frustrated. He turns away from me to watch the sunset.

I sigh and go to start again, but something stops me. Kanan! Ezra! Someone!

Jessie? I ask internally.

Kanan! The Inquisitor, he knows where I am! I'm coming to Lothal with some friends, and I need your help to stay hidden. Please!

Alright. Where are you?

A pause. Dagobah.

Dagobah? Why on Lothal–

–I know. I can't tell you anything now, because the Inquisitor is hearing this whole conversation. When we get to Lothal, promise me we can stay with you guys. Please.

Okay. When you get to Lothal, send me a comlink message. So the Inquisiotr is hearing all of this?

Probably. I don't know all of the details of a Force-prob. I tried blocking him, but I couldn't keep him out long enough.

Okay. I'll see you soon.

Thanks Kanan. Bye.

When I open my closed eyes, Ezra is staring at me. "What was that? I felt something through the Force."

"It's Jessie." I say finally. Ezra stares at me, shocked. "She wants to come home."
