(Emma pov)
When I wake up, I check my wrist chrono. The time says 9:00 AM. Oh my gosh! I'm late for the Academy!
Then I hop out of bed and look at what should be grey pyjamas. Instead, I see black leather pants and an indigo shirt.
Right. I'm a Rebel now.
I leave the bedroom after combing my hair and I run into Ezra in the hall. Literally. I slam into him and start to fall, but he catches me in his arms.
"Morning," he says, grinning.
"Uh....Hi." I blush. Did I just blush? No way. I do not...
"In a rush?" Ezra asks, still grinning, me still in his arms. He's leaning over me and I'm dipped towards the floor. It's like something out of a movie.
"I thought I was late for the academy," I explain. "So I ran out of bed and.... here I am."
"Oh, really? You weren't in a rush to see me?" He says cockily. I find myself laughing, despite the situation.
"No, not really. Sorry Ez."
He laughs. "Oh well." But is that a hint of disappointment in his voice? He stands me up straight and I brush myself off.
"Thanks for catching me," I say.
"You're welcome. Maybe we could do it again sometime?" He asks, smirking, and I burst into laughter. Just then, Kanan comes around the corner.
"Hi Kanan," I say, suddenly embarrassed. Did he see me fall?
"Hi Emma. I was wondering...How'd you like to join Ezra and I for Jedi training today? It might be something to consider."
I nod eagerly. "Awesome! Yes please."
He smiles slightly. "Great. Let's go outside. It's a good day to train outside."
I follow him and Ezra out of the Ghost and into one of Lothal's grassy plains. Do I like Ezra? As more than a friend?Am I in love with him? I need to figure it out. Sooner than later.
