"I love them all so much!" Rapmon sobbed. She rubbed his back soothingly.
"I know." He needed to calm down. Everyone needed to calm down so they could think of a plan.
"I found V on the side of the road. Begging for change. He's such a sweet kid. He doesn't deserve this. He doesn't even have a name!" Rapmon whispered. V really was an orphan.
"I found Jungkook in a group home. His mom had just left him. Left him with a gun and some bullets. That's it. He was so screwed up, I fixed him. I made him better, I took away the pain. What's he gonna do without me? What am I gonna do without him?" Rapmon cried. She wondered why he was telling her all this. Maybe he didn't even realize she was there. Just thinking out loud.
"And J-Hope. Hoseok. He was so hopeful. He was living in a bush, and he wore rat-eaten clothes out of the trash. And he was okay with it. I had to help him! He was so happy. He made me happy." Rapmon sobbed. She was beginning to realize what was happening. Every single one of them was like one of his kids.
"Jimin. Jimin ran away from home. His dad was a drunk that beat him senseless and did awful things to his mother in front of Jimin. He told me. He was so sad, he couldn't help his mother. He...he reminded me of myself. I can't lose him." Rapmon whispered. She rubbed his back and nodded. She couldn't lose them either. They were her friends. Rapmon's family, his kids. They can't go.
Rapmon let her go and sniffled like a little kid. She put a hand on his shoulder.
"Jin. Jin was just a kid with a knife. My dad found him, stealing from one of our stores. I saved him from almost certain death. He was so young. So was I. He's been with me since elementary school. He's my right hand man. He's my brother." Rapmon explained. There was only one more left.
"And Suga?" She asked. Rapmon looked at her. His eyes glazed over from crying,
"His parents. His father." Rapmon shuddered, "Suga I found him fighting. You know that. But I lied. I told you his parents just didn't care about him. Actually, his father caused an accident. A huge accident. His father hit 4 other cars and killed about 5 people. Including Suga's mother and his little brother and sister. They were twins. Suga was actually going to see you. He was going to tell you that he liked you and he found out. He loved his mother so much... Like..." Rapmon choked. Unable to finish. She looked at her hands limp in her lap. So that's why he didn't want her wearing the apron. That's why he was the way he was. That's why he was so close with Rapmon. His dad just left after he killed all those people. She clenched her fists. Bastard.
She had been wrong there was two more.
"What about you?" She asked softly. Rapmon looked at her puzzled.
"You really want to know?" He asked. She nodded.
"My first memory of my father was him hitting me. Hitting me and hitting me again. I was crying really loud. So loud. And my mom tried to stop him, so he started to hit her. He hit her so much. At one point she stopped moving. I don't know what happened next. All I know is after that my mom wasn't the same. I remember how much I loved her. Then she changed and she cried a lot. And sometimes she'd hit me too. Then one day I was at the beach and she...she tried to drown me I think. I don't remember. So the doctors said she was sick. My dad told me she was crazy and I couldn't see her anymore. So I didn't. He locked her in a room and never let her out and never let anyone in. I saw her through a big glass window. She just sat there. She looked so lonely and sad. Then they moved her. I don't know where she is now. My dad won't let me see her. And he still beats me, even though I could beat him. I don't have a family. I never had one. So I made my own. I got Jin, Suga, Jungkook, Jimin, V, and J-Hope. My dad's been trying to take them away for a long time. He's finally done it." Rapmon ended in a whisper. She clenched her fists. All of them. All of them came from f**ked up families.
"No." She murmured firmly.
"Huh?" Rapmon mumbled.
"No. That's not happening. I'm not letting it. Suga said he'd fix it, but he's not here. So I'm gonna fix this s**t."
This was the last of that bull she was going to allow, she was done.
