"Mr. Jetsten." Aaron's math teacher, Mr. Farms, stopped him from leaving the class. Aaron nervously looked back.

"Have a seat." His gruff voice hinted that he was going to be in there for a while. Aaron sat down in a plastic chair and nervously looked at his math teacher.

"I've noticed lately that you haven't been turning in your work. Are you doing okay?" His teacher eyed him nervously.

"Yeah. It's just that..." Aaron tried to think of an excuse. "...I just heard that my mom is pregnant... And I've been looking in to something that happened a few days ago..." Was that really the best he could do?! Aaron looked back at his teacher.

"You ARE aware that the final for this class is tomorrow, right?"

Shit! Aaron had gotten so caught up in researching about the asylum that he had forgotten to study for the math final. He didn't want to tell the teacher he'd forgotten to study, so he tried to leave.

"Uh... I'm sorry sir...but I don't really want to be late for my next class." Aaron got up and walked out the door with a nervous expression on his face. The creepy asylum was the least of his worries. He could not fail that math exam. But the test was tomorrow! He would have to study all night. Aaron sighed and ran his hands through his thick hair. He needed to balance school and asylum research so that he could do good in school and get a decent night sleep. This was going to be hard.

"I'm home!" Aaron dropped his backpack on the floor. Surprisingly, no one was home. Aaron looked around the house. Why was no one here? From the kitchen, a door slammed open. Aaron jumped and dropped the math book he was carrying. Shit! He forgot to close the door! Aaron tip-toed to the door leading to the kitchen and peeked in. A woman with a torn, old dress was on the floor with her arms around her legs, slowly rocking back and forth. Aaron's eyes widened and he quietly gasped. The woman's neck snapped to face him and she started growling. Aaron froze, only to have his eyes wander to a big knife on the knife rack. The woman and Aaron were staring at each other, slowly raising tension in the air. Aaron sprinted to the knife and the woman jumped on him and sunk her teeth into his neck.

"AAAHH!" Aaron fell to the floor and tried to wrestle the woman off of him! Blood leaked from the wound in his neck. He kicked the woman off of his stomach and reached for the knife, but the woman bit down on his arm, staining her mouth with blood.

"Fuck!" Aaron kicked the woman in her chin and she bit her tongue. She scrambled away and lunged at Aaron's leg. What the hell was she doing here?!

"Harrison!" She shouted at Aaron.

"What the fuck?!" Aaron was scared and confused. Wait. Where the fuck were his parents?! Why weren't they here?!

"HARRISONHARRISONHARRISON!" The woman grabbed her head and rocked furiously. Aaron pushed himself against the wall. The woman was now screaming and was digging her nails into her scalp. With one quick motion, she snapped her neck and fell dead on the floor. Aaron was breathing heavily and noticed tears were streaming down his face. Aaron sat frozen on the ground when he heard an ear-splitting scream. His mom ran towards him and clutched his face.

"Aaron! Oh my God, are you okay?! Aaah! You're bleeding! Who is that?! What happened?!" His mom was interrogating him when his dad walked through the door and immediately rushed to Aaron. The both of them were questioning their son, and for some reason, Aaron was feeling angry. He stood up, causing both of his parents to silence.

"Both of you SHUT UP! Where were you when I needed you right now?! I could've fucking DIED! Why weren't you guys here?! What the hell were you guys doing for so long?! Do you not see the FUCKING DEAD BODY?!" Aaron gestured to the woman. His mom and dad were speechless. Before they could say anything, Aaron turned on his heel and stomped upstairs, slamming his door behind him. He grabbed an old backpack from his closet and laid out running shoes, sweatpants, and a warm hoodie. He needed answers, and he needed them tonight.
