The feeling of being lifted was what woke me up. The sky was still dark out, so I knew it wasn't much later than when I had fallen asleep. I fidgeted a bit as I started waking up more fully and the arms holding me up shifted a bit helping me get comfortable."It's alright, Cammie, I got you. You can go back to sleep." I heard an Irish accented voice whisper in my ear.
"Niall?" I whispered.
"Yes, darlin', its me." Niall whispered back.
"Where's Lindsey?" I asked as I went to look around.
"It's alright, Louis is carrying her to the car." Niall replied.
"And Hanna?"
"She's riding back in your car with Liam and Zayn."
"Make sure they take car of my car." I yawned.
"They will, don't worry."
I just nodded in reply and closed my eyes again as I rested my head back into the crook of his neck knowing everything was being taken care of. He placed me in the middle seat in the back and put my seat belt on for me. Lindsey was then placed in my left and her head fell on my shoulder before I placed my head on hers. I heard her door shut before I felt another presence next to me. I didn't have to look to know it was Niall. Louis and Harry were in the front, at least I assumed they were.
"I feel quite bad for them." Harry stated suddenly. "They're friendship is being torn apart."
"I can't imagine our group ever being broken up." Louis added.
"They must be heartbroken." Niall said, and I realized they thought I was also asleep.
"Hanna said she's moving to London, didn't she?" Louis asked.
"I believe so, why?" Niall asked.
"That gives Cammie all the more reason to come to London and visit more often." Louis said. "You'll be able to see her more."
"I hadn't thought of that." Niall said. "But I must admit, I do love knowing that."
"You really like her, don't you?" Harry asked.
"Yeah, I do." Niall said quietly. "She's just not like any other girl I met. And that's definitely a good thing. She treats me like I'm not famous, like I'm not a part of the biggest group in the world. And I love that. She makes me feel normal, I guess."
"Don't go all Nicolas Sparks on us now." Harry chuckled softly.
"You just don't get it." Niall shook his head.
"I do, Ni." Louis piped up. "I feel the same with El."
"So I guess it's something I'll understand when it happens to me?" Harry asked.
"Exactly." Louis and Niall said at the same time.
The car fell silent after that and I let myself drift off to sleep again. The next time I woke, I was in bed with Lindsey laying beside me. I looked at the clock to see it was seven thirty.
"Lindsey, wake up!" I yelled as I hit her.
"I'm up! I'm up!" She groggily as she stumbled out of bed. "Wait, why am I up?"
"Hanna's flight leaves in an hour and a half and we didn't get to say goodbye!" I yelled as I raced for the door ignoring my pounding headache.
I heard Lindsey's footsteps behind me as we raced down my stairs and threw our shoes on. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw movement in the living room and soon Niall was standing in front of us.
"Where are you going?" Niall asked.
"Hanna's flight is leaving in an hour and a half and we didn't get to say goodbye!" I yelled again before throwing the door open.
"Keys!" Lindsey yelled as she grabbed them and tossed them to me.
"Boys, wake up!" Niall yelled as he shook the boys.
Lindsey and I started sprinting to the car, not even waiting for the boys. We had started backing out of the driveway when they came running out and I slammed on the breaks.
"Hurry up!" I yelled and they all piled in, some having to sit on each other.
I sped off towards the airport knowing we couldn't be late. We couldn't miss saying goodbye. I needed to give her one last hug! Lindsey and I were both shaking in nervousness as the boys stayed silent in the back.
As soon as I put the car in park at the airport parking lot, Lindsey and I hopped out of the car and sprinted inside. The boys were trailing behind more slowly, but we're still able to keep us in sight and see where we were going.
"Flight 108 to London, England now boarding."
"No! That's her flight!" I panicked.
We were approaching her gate and saw her about to walk down the hallway and get on the plane. Lindsey and I began screaming her name at the top of our lungs and luckily she turned around. And so did everyone else in the airport, but we didn't care.
"You don't think you could get away without saying goodbye, did you?" I asked as tears started to fill my eyes.
"I didn't want to, but I know you guys are probably hungover." She answered.
"My head feels like it's been trampled by a stampede, but I don't care." I said. "You're one of my best friends, I do anything for you."
"I love you!" Hanna gushed as she pulled me in for a hug.
"Don't forget about me, alright?" I cried into her shoulder.
"Never could I ever." She sobbed.
She then moved on to Lindsey and they said their goodbyes before the boys finally showed up panting.
"You girls run fast." Louis panted. "But anyways, it was a pleasure meeting you, Hanna."
"I'm sure we'll see you sometime in London!" Liam chimed in. "After all, we live and record there. Maybe we can meet up when we go back!"
"I'd love to!" She answered. "After all, you five will probably be the only ones I know there."
She gave them all a hug before turning to walk on the plane. Lindsey and I pulled her back one last time, though, for a group hug. We all were crying and sobbing as we let go and she walked off, only looking back once. When she disappeared and boarding closed, Lindsey and I turned and fell into each others' arms crying.
I couldn't believe Hanna had left. I already missed her terribly! Even though I wasn't as close to her as I am to Lindsey, she was still one of my best friends. Even when she didn't completely understand something I was saying, she would try to and would always be there to listen. Now I only had one best friend left and I hoped to god I wouldn't lose Lindsey, too.
"Come on, girls." Liam said sadly as he walked over to us. "You both need rest and standing here in the airport is not going to do much for your health. I'm sure Hanna wouldn't want you to stead here all day."
Lindsey and I nodded slowly before turning and walking side by side away from the gate. We kept one arm around each other though because I don't think either of us wanted to let go. I could see Niall looking at me out of the corner of my eye and reached out to hold his hand. He gladly slipped his fingers through mine and stayed close by me the whole way home.
