Beep beep beep

I groaned as I rolled over to turn my alarm clock off and kept reminding myself I only had less than two months to go. After I rolled out of bed, I got ready, ate breakfast, and went out the door to my car.

Without even realizing it, I started to drive in the direction of Hanna's old house. I got about half way before I realized and started making my was over to Lindsey's.

"This sucks." Lindsey said tiredly as she got in the car.

"Good morning to you, too." I said as I sped down the street.

"I don't want to go back to school."

"You think I do? I've been seen with Niall Horan and I'm going to get a lot of attention for that." I sighed. "I mean, it's totally worth it because Niall is a great guy. But I'm just worried about Lauren."

"Don't worry about her! I'll give her a nice punch to the nose if she gives you too much trouble."

"Thanks, Linds." I laughed.

By the time we got to school, we had ten minutes left to get to class. I grabbed my bag before starting inside with Lindsey. As soon as we walked through the doors, everyone in the hall fell silent and looked over at me.

"Oh, shit." I cursed under my breath.

"Just make like you own the place." Lindsey said starting to walk forward.

I followed her lead and we walked confidently down the hall and through the prying eyes of the other students. As much as I wanted to run back home, I knew that would only cause more humiliation for me. We reached our lockers and went through our normal routine as everyone slowly started to talk again.

"I hate this." I whispered to Lindsey. "I hate being the center of attention."

"I know, but it's fine. We don't care what these people think anyways. We aren't going to see any of them anymore after we graduate."

"You're right. I just have to think of Niall."

"Exactly." Lindsey said.

I closed my locker and turned around to head to class, but stopped short when I saw Lauren standing behind me. Her blond hair was obviously straightened to perfection and her hazel eyes were glaring into my blue ones. She had a manicured hand resting on her hip and a scowl on her face.

"So, I hear you had quite the vacation." She said unamused.

"It was good, how about yours?" I asked.

"My trip to Jamaica was great, but I don't think you really care." Lauren

"To be quite honest, we don't." Lindsey butted in.

"Did I invite you into this conversation? No. So why are you talking?"

"It's a free country, I can talk when I want." Lindsey snapped.

"Well, I have to get to class, but I'll see you later, Cammie." She scoffed before walking away.

"She is such a bitch. Like seriously? Using the 'did I invite you into this conversation'? That's so lame. I think I used that when I was five." Lindsey said.

"Whatever, let's just get to class." I sighed before we walked away.

The rest of the day went by quickly, much to my luck. At the end of the day, I was waiting by my locker for Lindsey to come. She had texted saying a teacher forced her to come after school to retake a test. I was in the middle of texting her back when I heard high heels coming in my direction.
