"Thank you, come again!" Rose cheered.

Rose skated back into the A&W in her small shorts and striped top. At the counter was her best friend named Lacey. Lacey had braces, short brown hair that she always kept clipped, and had an average figure. She was developed, but she was still tiny. Her and Rose are the same height. Rose skated behind the counter and sighed as she took off her skates and sat on the counter.

"God. We are getting NO CUSTOMERS today!" Lacey growled as she opened and closed the cash register.

"I mean seriously! That's why I took off these skates." Rose growled as she kicked them off of her feet. "It's too hot to be in here."

"Speaking of being at work, I don't know why you're working." Lacey scoffed. "Isn't your husband rich?"

"Yeah......" Rose said in a low tone.

"Then why the hell are you here?" Lacey laughed.

"Quit the chit chat and start frying up some shakes!" Their woman boss shouted from inside of her office. She was big and she had white curly hair. She was in her mid 50's.

"There's nobody here, Agnus!" Lacey barked. "Geez! We've been sitting here all day!"

"Did I hear backsass?" Agnus asked as she walked out of her office.

Lacey and Rose paused, then took a tired sigh.

"No..." Lacey groaned.

"Then start making some shakes! You and Rose both!" She barked as she pointed to the both of them, then made her way to her office. "Customers could be flying in here any minute!"

Rose started handing Lacey some cups to fill up with chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry. Rose looked at Lacey and felt that she needed to tell her what she found out about her husband.

"I don't want to be married anymore. I want a divorce." Rose shrugged as she helped Lacey fill up some cups.

"Wait a minute, WHAT?" Lacey said in a shocked tone as she stopped filling the shakes. "You just got married 2 months ago!"

"I know but.....I don't think that he's who he appears to look like on the outside." Rose said. "Yesterday in the trash can, I found a ring along with divorce papers from a week ago."

"Okay, why were you in the trash?" Lacey asked as she scrunched her eyebrows at Rose.

"Lacey!" Rose barked. "Can you be serious for one second?"

"Sorry." Lacey laughed as she got serious. "I'm serious this time."

"Yeah. I think he's having multiple affairs." Rose smiled as she folded her peach legs on the counter. "But that doesn't matter. I'm gonna go find me another rich man."

"That's right girl!" Lacey nodded as she puckered her lips and placed the milkshakes in the refrigerator. "But, why don't you find you a regular man?"

"I don't want a regular man. I want a rich man." Rose said as she shook her head. "And I want a rich man who doesn't want any children."

Before they could finish their conversation, a brown skinned man with some overalls and a white shirt under it. He walked by the counter and placed his hands on there, watching Rose and Lacey give him a weird look.

"Are you guys accepting any job applications?" The man asked.

Lacey smacked her gum at the man, then tilted her head back towards her boss.

"Hey Agnus!" Lacey shouted.

"What?" Agnus barked.

"How do you feel about us accepting a nigger to work here?" Lacey laughed.
