"Go on and do what mama did at one point." Rose's mother whispered in her ear, combing her hair in the fancy glistened mirror. "Go make some man happy."
It was 1960. Now 20, Rose was getting ready to go out and find her man. But not just any man, a RICH man.
Rose's mother, Katherine, didn't even care about her daughters happiness. All she was worried about was making sure her high status remained on a high pedestal. However, her mother put on the best act that she could so that Rose couldn't tell. Rose's father, Robert, was one of the richest men in the world. He was one of the only people who survived the crash. Katherine met him in the 30's and married him 4 months later. 2 years later, she gave birth to Rose and Rose's older sister, Violet. This ensured her that she would always have a link to her husbands money.
Rose was white, of course. She had peach skin and long red hair. Red curly hair. Her lips were plump and she had a small mile on the top right of her lip. Her mother bought her a skin tight red dress to compliment we red hair, and she also covered her lips with red lipstick as well. She looked like a resemblance of Jessica Rabbit. Afterwards, her mother gave her a small red purse to carry. What Rose didn't know, is that her mother was sending her to a rich dating service at a local building.
"I'll see you later, mom!" Rose cheered as she stepped out into the night with her red heels.
"Alright. Bye sweety!" Katherine cheered as she blew a kiss out of her large mansion, then shut the door.
Rose stared at the door for a while, then took a deep breath as she stepped off of her large two step porch.
"Rich men only." Rose whispered with her eyes closed, reciting her mother. "Rich men only."
Rose drove in her old school Elvis Presley Cadillac to a large banquet hall that was 20 minutes away. All she was worried about, was finding the richest man in the building. But once she stepped inside, she noticed that there was a variety. A wide variety. This speed dating place was filled with a bunch of men, dressed in tailor made suits. She took a number from the front desk, then sat at a table, waiting for someone to introduce themselves to her. She sat there for about 2 minutes, when a man with light red hair and big glasses sat at the table.
"Hello." The man smiled in a geeky tone.
"Hi." Rose smiled in a nervous tone, putting her hand out on the table. "I'm Rose Daniels."
"Billy. Billy Finchster." Billy giggled as he nodded his head and shook her hand. "So tell me. What are you all about?"
"Well, I'm not gonna lie, I wanna be a housewife." Rose said. "I don't want to have to do anything but sit at home and clean the house. Oh, and I don't want any children."
"Oh. That's what this is for, darling!" Billy giggled in a goofy tone. "Anyway, I'm rich because my uncle is the creator of beanie babies. Hehe. I have the whole entire collection at my house."
"Oh my gosh. This guys a nerd." Rose scoffed in her head. She wasn't interested in this guy at all, so she just decided to talk to him until the 5 minutes ran up. Next, a white guy with blonde hair came and sat at the table.
"Hello. I'm Rose." Rose smiled.
"Oh hi Rose. I'm Jim." The blonde man smiled. "I make $750,000 a year."
Out of nowhere, the man burped really loud. Rose's smile shifted into a look as the man waved his hand in front of his face.
"Sorry. Haha." Jim giggled. "I had a WHOLE bottle of wine before I came here!"
Next.
"Hello Rose. I'm Frank." Another man smiled. "I have a large suit collection at home, along with a master bedroom, chef, large kitchen with an island, sweet floors, a large living room, a......"
