Craig and Rose walked into work, watching Lacey grin at the two. Craig grinned and shook his head as he continued to walk, while Rose started blushing and covering up her face.
"Oh don't worry about me, you little love birds!" Lacey scoffed as they both started setting up the kitchen. "Do you guys just mind telling me how your baby is gonna look?"
"Shut up, brace face." Craig chuckled.
"Maybe the baby will be brown skinned with bright red hair?" Lacey grinned as she spun around in her heels. "Or maybe the baby will be pale with short brown hair? Or maybe-"
"Alright, Lacey. Geez!" Rose shouted as she smiled at her. "We're kind of...more than friends......."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Lacey asked.
"You would know if you had a BOYFRIEND." Craig smiled as Lacey's smile shifted down to a look of anger.
"Hahahahaha! That's a good one, Craig!" Rose laughed as Craig gave her a goofy grin.
"Oh, whatever." Lacey snarled as she started organizing the cash register.
"Aww. We love you, shoe Lacey." Rose mumbled as she puckered out her bottom lip, hugging her from behind.
"Yeah yeah.." Lacey moaned. "Lets just get these milkshakes ready."
After a hard days work, Craig drove off to his college to practice at his basketball tournament. As Rose was getting ready to leave, she seen her mother standing outside of her job with a fancy white dress on. Lacey and Rose jumped when they seen her appear out of nowhere.
"Mother!" Rose said in shock as she glanced at her. "How did you know I work here?"
"I just...know my daughter!" Katherine smiled as she looked at Lacey. "Look. Lacey, can me and Rose have a little time alone?"
"Eh. Go ahead." Lacey said as she waved her hand in the air. "I was going home, anyway. I'll see you tomorrow, Rose!"
"Alright. Bye Lacey!" Rose waved as she drove off in her rooftop car.
Rose turned back to her mother and glanced down at her since she was a little taller than she was.
"What's going on?" Rose asked.
"Do you really want to work here?" Katherine snarled. "Looking like some poor-"
"Mother, are we really gonna do this today?" Rose snarled. "Seriously?"
"You know what, you're right and I apologize. That's not what I came here, for." Katherine said as she closed he eyes, smiled, and put her hands up. "Anyway, I came to pick you up to go back home!"
"Home where?" Rose asked as she got back inside of the car.
"Well back to your husband, silly!" Katherine smiled. "He told me that you've been bailing out on him for a while and-"
"Okay mom. What goes on between me and Nicholas is none of your business." Rose snapped as she put her index finger up. "And where I go is none of his damn business, either."
"Rose, he's just trying to be a good husband."
"Well not good enough. Because he isn't doing a good job at it." Rose continued.
"I don't understand, Rose." Her mother snarled as she pulled off. "All you have to do is listen to what he says and you wo-"
"Mom, I don't want to be like you!" Rose barked in a blind rage. "I don't want to sit at home, go to these snobby parties and spend a mans money all day! I want to get out! I want my own money! I want a social life that doesn't involve eating food that cost $100 but taste like the end of a horses ass!"
