Rico couldn't let this threat go by. He got up and knocked on Craig's door when Rose answered 2 seconds later. Rico stormed inside, pacing back and forth as he held his hands on the side of his head.
"Look y'all, it's time to start getting worried now." Rico panted, moving around.
"What's wrong?" Rose asked.
"Did they call again?" Craig asked, walking out with the babies.
"Yeah. But this time, it was worse." Rico said. "They called back and named everything that happened in the last 24 hours. They named how you dropped Rose off yesterday, how they came into the apartment and scared her, all of that. They were here last night."
"So they did stop by last night?" Rose gasped, placing her fingers by her lips.
"He told me to tell y'all not to show up at the next game, or else they're going to kill Rose there." Rico said in a low tone. "Right in front of everyone."
Craig's face went from scared, to angry.
"No. No they aren't." Craig said, shaking his head.
"How do you know that, Craig?" Rose snapped.
"Because that's what they want. They want us to fuck up our schedule to scare us off when that's not going to happen." Craig demanded. "Rose is coming and I don't give a damn what they say. They're not going to do anything to her as long as I'm there."
Rose smiled at Craig, wrapped her hands around his broad shoulders, and gave him a nice kiss on the lips.
"Look at you. Being my protector and all." Rose grinned, looking up at him.
"Rico, next time they call, tell them to kiss my ass." Craig smiled, kissing Rose again. "They're not gonna scare me out of a game."
The next night was a game at the Raiders home. Everyone was going to be there just like always. Overcrowded bleachers, a great amount of noise, and a boatload of interviewers. Craig bought Rose and the babies with him as well so that he could keep a good lookout on everyone, including them. They sat on the court side as Craig kept an eye on them, playing the game and watching them. Throughout the game, the Raiders and the Blue Jays played dirty as usual. They scrapped, elbowed, tripped, kicked, all of the above. They Blue Jays were fighting back, though. However, they couldn't overcome the Raiders since they had the referee advantage. After the long 3 hours, the Raiders beat the Blue Jays by 10, making the playoff series 2 - 1. Craig ran to Rose and hugged her, hugging her tight and hard. He looked at her, smiling and kissing her on the cheek as his mother and friends ran out on the court, hugging him as well. Rico joined in too, attending the first of one of Craig's games.
"See? What'd I tell you?" Craig smiled, kissing her all over her cheeks. "They didn't come like I said! Don't let them scare you, babe. I got you."
Over the course of the next 4 months, the callers didn't call again. They didn't even give Rico or Rose the slightest sign that they were still after her. About Craig's games, they were all brutal battles. They continued to fight and scrapped, making the games more and more interesting. The Blue Jays won the next 2 games and the Raiders won the next 1, making it 3 - 3. About Rose, she was now 7 months pregnant. Caylee and Riley were now 10 months old. They were still babies, but they were finally growing longer and bigger. Both were able to walk with a little assistance, and they were able to say a few words now. Words like "Mama", "Dada", "Bottle", "Diaper", and more. Rose now fed them baby food and chopped up foods now since they were growing up.
Violet was now 4 months pregnant. She officially moved in with Nicholas, staying with him for good now. They remained in a close relationship for 7 long months, and they also found out the gender of their baby. They were having a girl. Nicholas spent all of these long months, reading and taking notes on booklets. He even called a hotline in the local newspaper to ask for local advice.
