"Jay. Jay wake up." The sound if Uriah's muffled voice resets my senses as I start to to come to.

I hear him breath a sigh of relief as I groan and sit up slowly. He's squatting infront of me with a worried look on his face.

"What happened?" I ask.

"We were hit with some kind of sleeping bullet." He replies.

"What?" I run my hand over where I was hit and feel a metal contraption with three small balls. I look down and see it almost right over my heart.

Uriah helps me to me feet and I look around to see Tris gone.

"Tris. Did she make it out?" I ask.

"I think so. Come on, there's a weapon cache a inside. If she's awake, that's where she'll be." Uriah says.

I nod and follow him and he leads us down the stairs past sleeping women and to the weapons cache area. Tris is.already there and I'm more than happy to see her. She turns around when she hears our footsteps and Uriah lets out another breath of relief.

"Why are we the only ones awake?" he asks.

"Because we're Divergent." Tries replies. "Come on. You have to help me get this open."

Uriah nods and quickly grabs the fire extinguisher off the wall before slamming it down on the lock. Before he an get it open, someone speaks up behind us. Turning around, I come face to face with Eric.

"Look who decided to show up." he smirked.

"Seriously? It just had to be you? Jeanine couldn't send someone the.least bit pretty?" I snap.

Eric's hand flies across my face so hard I fall to the floor. Uriah's at my side in an instant as I spit blood at Eric's feet.

"Missed you too old buddy."

Eric orders his guards to tie our hands and they do exactly that. Eric yanks me to my feet and leads the way into an open space, shoving me to my knees. Tris is put on my right and Uriah is put.on my left. On the other side of Tris is a little girl and other men.

Eric walks around us goes up to one of the men I don't know first. He holds some kind of indicator above his head and it reads that he's only nine percent Divergent.

"Damn. That's almost normal." Eric shrugs and pulls out his gun, shooting the man without hesitation.

"That's not part of the mission!" Max booms.

"So what? As far as I'm concerned the rest of them are still outlaws." Eric argues.

He walks by me and looks me over before going to the little girl.

"Stop." I blurt out.

"Jay." Uriah says.

"Do me." I ignore him and look up at Eric. He gives me a questioning look and I reply with a shrug. "Call me curious."

He smirks and walks back over. "Well alright then."

Placing the scanner over my head it lights up and reads that I'm one hundred percent Divergent. That, I did not expect.

"Well I'll be damned." Eric whispered.

Max yanked me to my feet and I looked at Tris with an apologetic look. I know she's the same as me and I'm not about to let her get scanned to prove it. Uriah looks like he's about to cry but I keep a strong facade.

"Let's move out." Eric says.

"You really think this scrawny thing is gonna be able to do what Jeanine wants? We need a contingency. Keep going." Max orders. "and do it faster. The others will be awake soon."
