Pretender (Micomet)

PT. 1

"Miko, can't you please just help me this once?" Suisei went down on her knees as she held Miko's arm crying exaggeratedly.

"Let go of me you psycho!" Miko swat her hand away.

"Come on, please, I'll do anything you want! Anything at all!" Miko stared at Suisei for a bit before considering.

"Anything?"
"–Anything!"

"I want the file of your previous case to be given to me." Miko said full of smug making the blunette eyes widen as she abruptly stood up looking down at Miko.

"What!? You can't do that!" she said pouting.

"It was originally MY case that YOU stole, I don't know why the director agreed to have you take over MY case." Miko scoffed.

Having no way to disagree without having Miko agreed to help her, Suisei finally gave in. "Okay, okay you win." she said.

"But you have to help me convince my grandad that we're actually dating okay?" Suisei then plead again.

"Fine."

Miko and Suisei walked hand in hand towards Suisei's family house, "Look, before we come in, have you even came out to your family?" Miko asked in skeptical.

"Came out?" Suisei asked in confusion.

"You know what, just keep your mouth shut and let me do the talking." Miko shakes her head before knocking on the door.

An old sophisticated man in a dark green polo shirt opened the door, his blue hair were almost covered by his greyish.

"Miko-chan, welcome I've been bugging..." He then looked at the blunette who was now hiding behind Miko, "That child," he said looking at Miko pointedly, "To bring you over" he then said full of affection.

"I've been busy with my project lately grandpa, Suisei never mentioned about inviting me over so it never really crossed my mind." Miko said politely, making Suisei's grandad gleam in adoration.

"As expected from our Miko." He complimented the maiden making Suisei snickered at the back when her grandpa drag the fair maiden away towards their dinner table.

Miko's parents and Suisei's parents were already seated, soon all of them took a sit and begin their dinner.

"So.. about the arranged marriage, have you thought about my friend's grandson, Suisei?" Her grandfather then started as soon as they're seated.

"About that..." Suisei sneak a glance at Miko for backup.

Miko sigh then clears her throat.

"We're dating." Miko said simply.

The shock on the comet's parents and grandfather's face were visible while Miko's parents just sigh.

"We didn't know you swing that way honey." Suisei's mom said in disbelief, "We know our Miko is... but when did you feel this way?" she then continues.

Suisei look at Miko for support, "We've been dating for.. 6 months now Aunty." Miko answers politely as she smiles apologetically, "She was afraid to come out in fear of you guys not accepting her and I," Miko then looked at Suisei full of affection "acting", "I wanted to respect her wishes and support her through her journey." Miko's acting in contrary to the comet's was so believable even Suisei started to believe that they've been dating for 6 months.

Clearing her throat, the maiden turn to her grandpa's, "Please accept up, I'm sorry we had to keep it from you guys this long." Miko said.

Suisei was quiet the whole time, looking at a new side of Miko she's never seen before, in admiration and a feeling she couldn't quite explain.
