Rin's POV

I can't belive this happened everything was going so well, why did someone have to ruin it for us? The worst thing is, we don't know who did it.

[Flashback]

The main phone of Kagamine Manor resounded throughout the mansion.

A young woman called Miki speed walked as to get to it before the caller hung up.

When she got there she, didn't get what she expected. She got something much worse.

"Hello? May I ask who this is?" She inquired. She started to frown as she heard what he had to say. Her frown just got deeper and deeper as the caller went on.

[End of Flashback]

Mom didn't know it was important at the time. She thought she could take care of it by herself. She thought she could handle it.

Well, she was wrong. Now she has to hire lawyers to plead her case. She won't even tell me what she did.

I sighed. I wish I could help...that I could do something. But I'm just a kid.. they won't take me seriously.

It wouldn't hurt to try...would it? I don't think so.

If I'm going to do this i'll need a partner. And I think I know just the person. Granted I don't know him well, but it doesn't do any harm to ask.

Suddenly, my ringtone began playing. As I pick us my phone I smile at the name of the caller, Hikaru. We had become fast friends.

"Ne ne, Rin-chan! Do you want to go that new pastry shop that just opened? I hear they're really good?" Hikaru says tauntingly.

The corner of my lips widen. For now I can just be a 12 year old girl.

Or maybe not.

Everywhere I go I hear people talking like mom like she's some kind of criminal. Seriously, what on earth did she do?

I feel very nervous while I'm walking beside Hikaru. I feel like someone will realize that I'm her daughter and start either shamming me or pitying me.

I don't appreciate any of them. I glance at Hikaru, I hope she doesn't-

"Rin-chan? What did your mother do?" Never mind. The way she speaks so calmly sends shivers down my spine.

"Honestly? I don't know, she won't tell me anything." For a second I think I see a smirk on her face but it disappears as quickly as it appeared.

"Hmm," She muses. "Must be something real bad. "

I nod. Everything is silent for a while. I have no idea why. Like I said, I'm not good at reading the atmosphere.

Then, I get an idea.

"Hey, do you have Len's phone number?" I ask. It's a long shot but I have to try everything.

"Yeah, we used to date so naturally I have his number. Why?" Well that's a surprise, Hikaru doesn't seem like the person do date. Sure she's open, but....

"Thanks. What is it?" I don't inquire about them dating. It's a distraction and it has nothing to do with me.

She tells me his number and immediately leaves afterwards. Something about a project.

I deside to get right to business. I dial Len's number. He picks up.

"Listen, I need you to help me with something...."

Len's POV

Buchou was surprisingly easy on me, he just made me run more laps than usual and told me not to let it happen again. To say I didn't expect that is an understatement.

When I got home after school, I prepared for a weekend of laziness.

So imagine how surprised I was when Rin called me and told me to meet her at the park near the school.

I wonder what she wants, I'm happy that she wants something to do with me but...how did she even get my number?

Suddenly, anger was raging through my veins.

Hikaru.

I managed to calm down a considerable amount before I got there, I don't want to start yelling at Rin. She doesn't know what Hikaru did.

When I see her, for a minute, I can't breathe. She looks breathtaking (hence the loss of breath).

She's wearing sky blue summer dress, not to short but not to long either, She has black flats to match and instead of a white bow, she has a blue one.

By now I'm beginning to wonder if her favorite color is blue, I mean, even her eyes are blue. Not that I'm one to talk, I have blue eyes as well.

Enough of the daydreaming. I clench my teeth and walk over to her like a man.

I would have looked like a man if I hadn't tripped over my own feet and ended up flat on my face. Oh god, I hope she didn't see.

I look up to see her walking towards me, a smile on her features.

She did. I'm done.

Instead of laughing at me, she extended her hand.

"Are you okay?" Her voice...I think I just melted.

I nod, grasp her hand firmly (this may be my only chance) and pull myself up.

Her face then loses its smile and she dons a serious expression.

"Now that you're here, I have something to ask you. You have to promise that everything we talk about stays silent to everybody else. No one can know about what we're doing. Do you promise?" She asks.

Okay, now in scared. I thought this was just a friendly chat. But I can't let her down. We might not each other very well and I still don't know what kind of feelings I have for her but we're friends. I'd do anything for her.

My face hardens and I straighten up. "I promise. And if I fail to keep that promise you can do whatever you want with me."

She nods and we shake hands firmly. It's seems like a strong partnership has been born. Let's hope it stays strong.

Unknown Person's POV

It seems like everything is falling into place. Soon enough Miki Kagamine will be going to court to try to plead her case. She won't succeed though.

I'll make sure of it. After all, I run the best companies in Japan. It's impossible for anyone to stop me.

Unfortunately, I'm missing only one part of my master plan. All I need is the blood of a boy and girl. I don't care whose blood it is. I just need blood.

Anyone who comes between me and the completeing of my plan will suffer a painful death. I'm serious. That goes for anyone who betrays me.

Now, I can just sit back and watch everything unravel. From friendships to trust, I'll make that everything breaks.

Ah, life is sweet. As sweet as candy.

A/N: I'm so sorry!! This chapter is about 300 words shorter than the last one. I wrote this chapter with a really bad headache. It's still a thousand, one hundred and something though. Again, I'm sorry.

Oh, cheak out the song on top (or to the side, depends), it helped me write the chapter a lot quicker.
