Suddenly, the heavy steel door at the front of the room is opened and Jai is shoved inside. He is shoved so hard, he smashes right into Luke, causing the twins to fall backwards.
"What the **** mate?!", Beau yelled banging his fists on the door. James started to lift Jai when Luke tensed and brushed James's hand away. "Stop! Stop it! He's hurt.", Luke yelled. James eyes widened and he stepped back to observe the boys. Jai was curled up in a ball with his head buried in Luke's chest. Luke heard soft whimpers coming from Jai and pushed back his thick curls. Jai had a dark bruise across his right cheek and a gash above his left eyebrow.
Luke's P.O.V
"Jai... wha... what happened to you? Who did this to you, baby boy?", I asked lifting his head up gingerly so I could see his eyes. I felt the familiar feeling of rage boiling up inside me. My twins eyes were bloodshot. Jai sobbed, "They... the men... I tried to get to you when I saw an officer sedate you. The rest of you guys had been strapped up and knocked out already." "That explains the throbbing in my neck", I thought, rubbing my swollen neck. Jai continued, "I punched the dude who was holding me back and ran toward you. Then I was tackled to the ground and struck." My eyes started tearing up listening to what happened to my twin. Daniel kneeled down next to us and rubbed Jai's back as he wept. I put my hand on Jai's head and wrapped my arms around him. It seemed like he was beginning to calm down a bit. I heard Beau growl in the background. I've never seen him get this angry before. "Jai", he almost whispered, "Do you know where we are?" Beau slowly made a fist and socked the wall. "They threw me in the back of a van with a blindfold", Jai coughed wiping his cheek and wincing, "But I heard where we were when we arrived. I started freaking out so they hit me again.." Jai pulled up the sleeves of his black T-shirt to reveal a series of scrapes and bruises. James helped lift Jai off me and on to the "bed". I wiped my eyes and sat next to him.
Back to 3rd Person
Jai regrouped himself, shook his head, and sighed, "Guys, our latest prank has landed us in "North Ridge Asylum." The boys sat in disbelief. Daniel started to pace the room rapidly and mutter to himself while Luke and Beau hugged their brother. Beau was red and still fuming. James just stared at the back of the room and mumbled under his breathe, "Why did we have to try that dumb-arse prank?"
