James's P.O.V

My heart was in my throat as I tried to reestablish my grip on Jai. "Luke, please ,please, don't ", I cried, but as my desperate plea escaped my crack lips, it showed only to be a mere squeak.  Beau growled under his breath, releasing Jai, and shoved me away to get to Luke. "Skip, grab 'im", I croaked. Skip turned around in confusion, colliding with Beau. Daniel pinned Beau to the wall, his face pressed against the cold stone, as Skip pinned Beau's thin, yet strong, arms behind him.

"Calm down!", Skip barked, his face red with frustration, "He knows what he's doing, trust him". I looked towards Luke, the guards were approaching us. Luke gently opened a cell door then moved to the next one. The hall divided in two different directions and we split up. Beau and Skip one way, Jai and I the other. From my understanding, the halls loop around back to Luke, so Jai and I raced to the end of the hall, and looked behind us.

The small guard was sent after us, the large one running after Beau and Daniel. Crap please let them be ok. "Jai, back up", I demanded, brushing him away and taking a step closer to the guard. He was only a few feet away now, continuing his pace. Poor choice, mate. When he was just about in front of me, I braced myself and thrusted my right arm out in front of me, a tight fist formed. Before the "little guy" could stop himself, he smashed face first into my hand.

It happened almost in slow motion. I felt a hard crunch as his face connected, blood squirted out of his mouth and nose. His body seemed to keep moving forward despite his head stopping. He flew back, hitting the cement floor with a had, sickening, thud. I heard a familiar pop as he landed, the dislocated his shoulder on impact. I brought my hand close to my chest and wiped my blooded splattered knuckles on my white shirt.

"Jesus Christ, James!", Jai shouted in disbelief, his mouth hung ajar as he stared at me, then the crumpled body of the man on the floor, the back again, "You might have just killed him!" I crouched next to the limp body, lightly touching it's wrist, "He's alive", I exhaled, relieved. I checked his eyes, gently opening his lids, "He's just knocked out." As I stood, I saw Luke round the corner, breathing heavily. He glanced down at the guard, "I will ask later", he breathed, running past me. "Go, Go, Go", he urged, pushing Jai forward, "I let them out. The patients, The inmates, they're coming."
