"You were what?" Wynette's mother shrieked.
"Suspended," Wynette replied.
Her mom is angry and sends her to her room. Wynette kind of figured that much. She hasn't told her mom why she was suspended yet. She will, eventually. Her mom knows she is hiding something. Wynette is always hiding something. Her mom knows it. This time is no different. It's just way worse. She's suspended for the rest of the school year. She'll have to repeat 11th grade. Her mom knows all about it. That's why Wynette hates that her mom is a spy, her older sister is a bartista, and her father is a former criminal. Her life sucks. It's going to be a long August for Wynette and that's the truth. She's a criminal in hiding it feels like to her. She's a wanted teenager. What more could possibly go wrong? Um, everything.
