They made sure everything was working before they headed out to catch the boat that's supposed to meet them at the docks to take them to the island. Of course Zak didn't really say much, but they decided to just leave it be. Once they reached the docks, the boat was waiting for them, and they all climbed on. It rocked underneath their feet a little. Once it backed out of the dock, they were on their way to the island, and surprisingly Nick was handling it just fine.
"Thought you get motion sick on these." Jackie said.
He shrugged. "Only if I'm on a boat for a long time. I should be fine."
She only nodded, just as the boat started to slow down. They all looked at the island that was in front of them, feeling a little nervous to set foot onto it again.
"Hasn't changed one bit." Zak said, grabbing a briefcase full of equipment. When they got off, they thanked the driver before they went back.
"Well..here we are again." Aaron said.
"Just like before all over again." Nick said.
They stared at the place for a few seconds before they all stepped onto the island. It had the same vibe as before: scary, and just downright eerie. They reached the main building, the tower sticking out from everything else.
"This is where it happened." Jackie said, feeling a little scared. "In my dream..where they burned the bodies.."
"Well, the only thing we can do is get answers." Lily said. "Maybe call out whoever did that to you."
With that, they stepped inside, the energy drastically changing on a dime. Setting the briefcases down, they grabbed what they needed, making sure it worked, considering the spirits drained everything they had pretty much when they first came here. Aaron turned on the Mel-meter, making sure it still worked before getting his camera ready.
"Let's hope we get more than last time." Nick said.
Lily shrugged. "Who knows..we probably will with this place."
"Guys wait, hold on. Stop what you're doing." Zak said, standing still. Just as they all stopped, they immediately heard footsteps, followed by some voices they were unable to decipher what they were trying to say.
"Where's that coming from?" Jackie whispered.
"I don't know..sounds like from down the hallway." Nick said quietly. Once it stopped, they finished getting everything ready, and they turned on the night vision, leaving them in darkness, only a sliver of the sun left on the horizon before it completely sets.
"Alright..let's start." Aaron said.
They began to walk around a little. "Now, we should speak in Italian every now and again..if you don't know much of it, that's fine." Zak said.
They nodded, Lily taking out a digital recorder.
"Alright. You remember us from a few years back?" Nick asked out loud. "Well, we're back for more!"
"If you're here, speak up or make a noise." Aaron said.
They waited a few seconds, not hearing anything.
"Fare un rumore!" Lily said loudly.
A voice was heard with their own ears, and they immediately froze in their spots.
"Did you hear that?" Zak asked.
"Yeah, we did..we don't know what it said, though." Jackie said. "Who just spoke, what is your name?"
Nothing, and Lily stopped recording, playing it back. Everyone gathered around it, seeing if they heard anything.
"Wait..go back to where Jackie asked a question." Nick said. She played it back, and a faint voice came through it.
"What the hell is that?" Aaron asked.
"It sounds like it's saying a name or something." Zak said. Playing it again, they heard what it said.
Zak..Bagans..haha
Their eyes widened. "Holy shit..that was creepy." Jackie said. "At least they said a name."
"Yeah, but it's mine.." Zak said, running a hand through his hair. "It might be the spirit I encountered last time."
"And if it is?" Jackie asked.
He suddenly walked to the middle of the dark room, feeling he will definitely regret what he's about to do. Taking a deep breath, he did it anyway.
"I'm calling out the spirit that possessed me last time." He began, everyone looking at him in shock. "I wanna see your ugly face! Come do it again! I'm not scared of you!"
"Zak..don't say that." Nick said. "I'm sure it'll be even more pissed now."
"I know..I'm aware." Zak said.
There was a sudden blast of cold air from behind them, making them jump a little from the sudden chill.
"Is there a breeze outside or something?" Lily asked.
Nick shook his head. "No..it's dead still out there."
"I think it's in here with us." Aaron said, turning on the Mel-meter. It immediately picked up on something, the light on top lighting up like crazy as it buzzed.
"Yeah..I think so." Nick said, surprised by the readings.
The energy drastically changed, becoming dark and extremely intense.
"I feel like I'm gonna throw up." Lily said, bending over, hands on her knees. "I can't even stand up right now."
Aaron put the Mel-meter around her, picking up a spike. "It just went up to 1.5 when I pointed it at you."
"Are you serious?" Zak asked, walking back over to them. Sticking his hand out, the air was different. "I think it's around her right now, it's freezing right here."
"I just saw a light go right into her head as you said that." Aaron said.
"I can't even put my fucking head up." Lily said, suddenly sitting on the ground.
"Don't say that, you gotta fight it..that's what they want to hear." Nick said.
They suddenly heard a demonic laugh near them, and they all felt a little freaked out.
"Watch out, guys. It's gonna get bad." Zak said, looking over to Lily. "Can you stand up?"
She nodded, taking Nick's offered hand, helping her stand up. Continuing to walk around, they came to the room that Zak did not like at all.
It was the place where he was possessed, and flash images ran through his mind of that moment, making him stop in the archway of the area.
"I think I'll stay back here. You guys go in." He said. They nodded, wandering around the room.
"Is someone here with us?" Aaron asked, taking out his own recorder. "Speak up."
"How about that demonic spirit that attacked Zak? Or the one that haunted Jackie's dream and mine?" Lily asked.
"You had a nightmare too?" Aaron asked. "When?"
"Later..not right now." She said.
They didn't get anything, except a few noises that startled them, but other than that, nothing really happened yet.
"Let's head out to the fields." Nick said. They started heading back when Zak stopped them in their tracks.
"You wanted me?" He asked, his voice a little deeper.
They looked a little confused. "What?" Jackie asked.
He smiled evilly. "You should know..I knew you would be back."
Their eyes widened.
It was the demonic entity.
