When Zak woke up sometime later, he looked at the time on his phone, the clock on his lock screen reading 8:30am. Slowly sitting up in the bed, he noticed Lily still asleep. Smirking at her, he got up, heading out to the living room area to see Aaron drinking his coffee.
"When do you not drink coffee, Aaron?" He asked.
Aaron shrugged. "I gotta wake up somehow."
When he finished saying it, Aaron's phone started to go off, and he grabbed it from the counter, recognizing the number as the hospitals. Answering it right away, he put it on speaker.
"Hello?" He asked.
"Aaron Goodwin?" The doctor asked on the other end.
"Yeah."
"Well, I'm here to inform you on your friend Jackie." They began. "So far nothing has changed, which is a good thing, but she kept mumbling something that you might want to know about."
"What did she say?" Aaron asked.
Him and Zak heard the doctor take a deep breath. "She said something about a sacrifice...that she'll wake up if it happens or something like that."
Zak's eyes widened. "This is his friend Zak Bagans..did she say anything after that?"
"No she didn't." They said. "I'll call again if anything changes."
With that, they hung up.
"Sacrifice?" Aaron asked. "Does that mean one of us is gonna die for her to come back??"
"Nobody's dying, Aaron." Zak said. "We just gotta figure it all out."
All of the sudden, they heard Lily scream, and they ran into her room, Nick following, seeing her awake, a scared look on her face.
"You alright, what happened?" Aaron asked, standing next to her as Zak sat down.
"It was a nightmare, but it was a warning.." She said, her hands slightly shaking. "I don't know who it was but...they said..in order for Jackie to live, one of us has to die for her..or she'll never wake up.."
"No..none of us are gonna die." Nick said seriously. "There's gotta be another way."
"Their isn't." Lily said.
"That's what they want you to think." He said. "We'll figure out another way so none of us have to die."
"How?" She asked. "It's either that or Jackie dies in her sleep!"
"Lily, you need to chill." Zak said, his hand on her shoulder. "We always come up with something."
She sighed, giving a small nod before getting out of bed.
"Let's get some breakfast and we'll go back to the hospital." Nick said.
They nodded, heading to the cafe area. Grabbing what was there, they sat down, mostly eating in silence. They talked about how they were gonna get her back another way, but from what they discussed, it wouldn't work.
Lily suddenly got up, throwing her stuff away.
"Where you going?" Zak asked.
"Back to our room.." She said. "I need time.."
She left without another word, heading towards the rooms when she suddenly took a left to where the main lobby was. Heading outside, she quickly walked down the sidewalks, hearing people talk in their Italian language until she came up to the docks, seeing a driver waiting in their white boat.
"Portami a quell'isola." She said.
The driver looked up at her. "What's the occasion for going there?"
"Just...please...take me over there." She said, climbing in. The driver agreed, starting up the boat before heading out into the water.
