Poveglia Island (GAC Story)

Nine

When they got back to the hotel, they headed to their room, Aaron unlocking the door. Setting their stuff down in the living room, they all immediately went into their rooms to get some sleep. Zak was still pretty shaken up from what happened, considering he hurt people he cared about. Lily fell asleep right away, while he stayed up for a while, staring at the ceiling until at one point, he finally closed his eyes.

She was back at the island, watching in horror as people wearing masks burned innocent bodies. She heard them screaming for mercy, but they showed none for them. Walking up to one of the doctors, she spoke very fluent Italian, not knowing how the hell this is happening.

"Che stai facendo?" She asked seriously. (What are you doing?)

The person wearing the mask turned to her. "Perché sei qui?" (Why are you here?)

"Voi gente stanno bruciando i loro corpi!" She shouted. (You people are burning their bodies!)

"Non abbiamo scelta." They said, someone grabbing their attention to help them with another body. She stopped them, shoving them back.

"Io non sono ancora finito con te!" (I'm not done with you yet!)

"Spostare ... a meno che non si vuole essere il prossimo uno." (Move...unless you want to be the next one) They said, glaring at her through the mask. Walking past her, she watched as they took somebody else, tossing them into the flames.

But when she turned around, everything was different. It looked like it does now, with the pile of rubble in the middle, graffiti on the walls, everything. She suddenly heard voices that were really familiar, and she followed them down a dark hallway, seeing Zak, Nick, and Aaron there. They were investigating when Zak suddenly hissed in pain, his hands on his head.

"Zak, are you okay? What's going on?" Aaron asked, going over to his partner. He didn't answer, just slowly standing back up, giving them a scary look.

"It's too late." He said, sounding like a million ghosts talking at once. "You're friend is dead...and so will you."

He had a rock in his hand, slicing it across someone's throat. Her eyes widened, yelling their name, but no one heard her. He gurgled and choked on his own blood as his camera fell to the floor before he dropped, his body twitching a few times before he became stone still. Zak looked up, smiling at her evilly.

"You can't save them...nobody can." He said, and turned to his partner, looking like he was gonna kill him too when she felt herself wake up.

Lily woke up with a start, sitting up in the bed, feeling sweat on her forehead. Looking at the time, it was past 2pm, not sure if they were awake just yet, until someone walked in, seeing Nick standing there, a worried look on his face.

"What's wrong?" He asked. She realized Zak was awake, not seeing him next to her.

"Nothing...just a nightmare." Lily said, getting out of bed, her hands slightly shaking.

"You sure you don't wanna talk about it?" He asked, following her out of the room.

Ignoring him, she headed into the living room area, sitting down on the couch, the dream playing in her head.

"Is she okay?" Aaron asked, startling Nick a little.

He shrugged. "Not sure..all I know is that she had a nightmare."

Everyone else came in the living room, seeing her shaken up still.

"What was the nightmare about, Lily?" Nick asked.

Taking a deep breath, she looked up at the group.

"I was at the island..and I saw them burning bodies." Lily began. "And..I was talking to one of the people wearing masks...and I was speaking fluent Italian, which was weird, and I understood what they were saying. But anyways..then I was in present time and I saw all of you except Jackie in one of the areas down that hallway. Then...everything was fucked up after that point." She started getting emotional. "Zak got possessed again...and he...well the spirit..did something."

"What did it do?" Aaron asked.

She looked down at the ground, letting out a couple tears. "It...it made him kill Nick."

Their eye widened, Nick suddenly feeling scared.

"Well, we gotta prevent that from happening!" Jackie said. "I don't want him to die!"

"We all don't." Zak said. "Why does it always happen to me, what did I do??"

"Well..you provoked it a lot so..." Aaron said.

"That doesn't matter, Aaron." He said seriously. "All I know is that I'm probably gonna kill Nick without knowing!"

"You won't, Zak!" Jackie said. "All we gotta do is change the event that leads up to it!"

"How?"

She shrugged. "I don't know, we'll figure out something."

With a huff, he shook his head, suddenly heading out of the room.

Sorry it took so long to update for those of u who r reading this. I'll try to make more to this one as soon as I can, I've just been caught up with other stories of mine. And since this one isn't as active with views, I figured I take a little longer for updates since it's not all that important. Hope u understand! More coming soon!
