After a twelve hour long movie marathon, the three teenagers crashed on the couch, Mason half-way off the couch with all the blood draining to his face, and Aspen and Liam on the other end, pressed up against each other like they belonged there.
Liam woke up at about 8:00 A.M and felt the familiar buzz of Aspen next to him. He tried to move and get up, but, after trying an failing miserably, he decided it couldn't be done without waking her up.
But he really had to pee.
The werewolf stretched as far as he could to get his socked foot in his best friend's face, trying to get him awake. "Mason," Liam hissed, kicking his nose. "Mason wake up." Liam wasn't sure if it was the small nudge or the stinky sock, but it got him awake. Really awake. So awake that he jumped and fell backwards off of the couch, hitting his head on the coffee table with a thump. Mason cursed.
"What the heck man-" Mason started, rubbing the newly forming bump on his forehead. He stopped once spotting Liam's situation. "Oh dude," Mason laughed skittishly at him. He knew how bad he had it for Aspen; Liam had told him everything the day he had met her. It was all they had talked about the whole day.
He tensed when Aspen shifted, turning her head to where her lips were on his throat, staying there. Liam's breath caught and he swallowed hard, looking pleadingly at Mason. Not only did he have to pee, being this close to the girl he was in love with was nerve-wracking.
Woah.
When did Liam realize he was in love with her? Was he? Considering he's only a freshman, being in love is pretty big. Especially when he wasn't even sure she liked him back.
"Dude," Liam whisper-yelled to his friend. "I have to pee. Help. Me."
Mason laughed, "Okay.. Um, just roll her off and I'll catch her." He bent down on one knee, wiggling his fingers underneath her. "On three," Liam nodded.
"One," Mason whispered. "Two."
"What are you guys doing?" Aspen asked in a raspy voice, blinking up at them. Her blue eyes were still clouded with sleep as she furrowed her brow at the two boys.
"Uh.." Liam stammered, "I.. Um, I had to pee.." Stupid, Liam scolded himself.
"Why didn't you just wake me up?" she rose an eyebrow."Because he thinks you're hot when you're-" Mason started but Liam slapped a hand over his mouth. Liam felt something wet slide across his palm and he yelped. Mason had licked him. Like a freaking five year old.
"Dude!" he hissed, disgusted. Mason laughed and dodged Liam's constant attempts to swat him in the side of the head. Aspen giggled to herself- which surprised her. She hadn't giggled in a while.
After Liam had gone to the bathroom, the three sat around lazily, talking about which show was better- The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air or Full House.
"Come one dude," Aspen reasoned, laying upside down on the couch, "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has Will Smith. And a rocking theme song."
Mason scoffed at his friend. "Full House is so much better, and you know it. Even the theme song." Liam held back a smile as his two friends argued back and forth over T.V shows. If only life was that simple again, he thought.
A lot was on Liam's mind at the moment. The deadpool, keeping control, school, and on top of all that, his feelings. Never would Liam have ever thought he'd be in love. It was a weird feeling- all, bubbly and happy when he was around her. It was strange, he thought, and a little creepy, which led him to think he might need a therapy... Do they even have werewolf therapists?
