I closed my eyes waiting for a tight hug from her as the door swung up.
"Are you Jayden?" A deep, yet husky voice questioned me.
My eyes flew open and I saw the most gorgeous white man I've ever seen. He stood about 6'4 with brown hair and greenish-blue eyes.
He had on a white Michael kors button shirt that hugged his muscles and lip gloss marks on his chin and lips, his hair was also messed up.
"Your A'Jayden correct?" He asked me again. I was confused and didn't know that such a beautiful man knew my name, just as I was about to ask him how he knew my name a high pitched voice screamed my name and pulled me into a tight hug.
"A'Jayden, I missed you sweetie"
"Jada, she doesn't want to die" He whispered in her ear, making her jump.
"Come on Jayden I'll tour you around the house than you can get washed up and changed, I know that plane ride was hectic" She pushed past the smiling white man and showed me around the house.
When I got out of the shower I put on a pair of dark jean shorts, a blue tank, hoodie and a Pair of hyperfuse sneakers.
I walked down the narrow hallway that led into the kitchen where my aunt was making smoothies. "Who is that man?" I asked her.
A smile crept across her face, I was now able to study her more. She didn't have weave in her hair but she was wearing her natural dark brown hair that fell past her shoulders, she had large brown chinky eyes and a small nose and small lips. She always got confused for being part Asian but she wasn't and she reminded me of a black anime character.
She squinted at me and her nose scrunched up "What are you talking about Jay?" She playfully asked me.
"You know what I'm talking about, I hope your not dating him because you know your mom will have a fit" I told her in a hushed and serious voice.
My grandmother who was her mother said that we weren't allowed to date a Caucasian man.
Her face fell into a frown and signed. "She knows that and I told her she should tell her mother but she always blows it off" The new muscular voice replied for her.
I turned towards the doorway and there he stood, leaning against the wall with his arms crossing his chest. His hair and clothes were now fixed but the lip gloss .marks was still on his face.
He walked into the kitchen and put his arm across my aunts shoulders, taking her smoothie and drinking it than her kissed her on the cheek leaving a smoothie mark there.
She playfully pushed him away and slid my smoothie towards me.
"Excuse Ajadé " he called her by her full first name that she had a bittersweet feeling towards " She didn't introduce us properly, I'm Benjamine Bowers but call me Ben" he held out his and for me to shake.
I grinned and gladly Shuck his hand " I'm A'Jayden Edwards, now I must be going. I'll be back" I told them and drunk the rest of my smoothie, standing from my chair.
"Where are you going?" A look of worry was in her eyes.
"I'm going to check out the neighborhood" I told her, headed for the door.
"Alright be back around 8 , Ben and I will go get pizza" She yelled before I closed the door.
I walked down the concrete stairs and into the grass, it was soft and squishy under my feet.
I started walking down the posh street, looking down and kicking rocks. I bumped into someone and my head snapped up.
"My bad" I told the dark skin girl who was walking down the street with her two light skin friends. They were all wearing weave. I could now see that the two light girls were twins.
