I was crouched in the tall grass waiting and watching a group of gazelles. They were grazing and suddenly one peaked its head up and cried out. The whole group stampeded away. I growled and watched as a grey streak ran past and missed one. He corralled them the opposite direction. I made my move.
I jumped out. I was gaining on one of the back ones, but saw the one I wanted in the middle. Increasing my speed, I was right on its tail. I pounced and had trouble bringing it down. I growled and felt another weight pull down the animal. It wriggled on the ground. I faced my partner.
He was gray all over and white bangs hung loosely over his eyes. "I told you princess I work alone!" he snapped at me. I instantly recognized him.
Dragor
He was all grown up. His voice was a lot deeper and his muscles were more toned. He was definitely taller than me and his marks became more prominent since the last time I'd seen him. He glared at me. "Well obviously, I brought it down, without your help" I smirked. "I got them running.." "Well I could've brought down three of them...easily!" I laughed.
He glared at me again. I returned it. "Where's that precious big sister? She out hunting too?" "yes...she is, what about your no-good pose, they out causing trouble?" We both crouched and growled at each other. "Don't get in my way again" he threatened "or what?" He leaped at me and i side stepped him. "Nice try twinkle toes" I mocked and pounced on top of him.
I pinned him and he struggled beneath me. He growled and tried to bite my hand, I just pushed harder on his shoulders. We growled and snapped at each other, then we heard a yell. "Dragor! Get a cave!"
We turned to see two lions standing with smirks across their faces. Grandi and Garko. They look almost the same as when they were littler, just had mains. While I was observing the twins, Dragor took advantage and pinned me to the ground.
"How's it feel princess?" "I told you...Don't.Call.Me.That" I growled and snapped at his paw. "easy kitten, I'm getting off" he said letting me up. I shook the dirt from my fur and shot him a glare. "Stay out of my way Dragor, or else" I warned. "I believe I've already threatened you with that one" he sneered. I hissed and swiped at his face.
I saw my mother, and two more lionesses running towards where Shindi had run off to. "Shin" I gasped tried to run off, but Dragor cut me off. "ah, ah ,ah I don't think so" he said backing me up. I growled and ran past him. I could feel him right behind me huffing and growling. I cut a corner by running up and wall and to my left, he couldn't follow.
I saw what was happening. Shindi was with Frayer. I joined the lionesses. "Syl help here!" She groaned. "mom....really what were they doing?" mom was stumped but she still growled at Frayer. I heard huffing behind me.
Everyone's heads turned to see a tuckered out Dragor, Grandi, and Garko. "Frayer....c'mon..." Grandi panted. Frayer said farewell to my sister and three of the four ran off. Dragor glared at me. "go" I hissed. "Fine princess, be that way" he glared and ran off. "what was that about?" Shindi asked. I shook my head. "Nothing..."
"can we finish hunting mom?" Shindi asked. "maybe later..." we both groaned and went with her back to pride rock. I paused and saw the three lions and Dragor go towards a grave yard. An elephant graveyard. I smiled to myself. "hey, what are you looking at?" Shindi asked. I nodded towards the male cats.
After a while, mom let us go hunting again. We headed towards the graveyard. "shh be quiet!" Shindi hissed at me. We crept along and finally heard a roar. I cringed and saw Dragor paced and growl at something, then I heard three more voices interrupt him. "What's wrong?" "those princesses are starting to get on my nerves" "hey you were all over that Sylvia in the field" "yeah!" "and Frayer was flirting up that Shindi" "I was not!" "you were too!" "just shut up!" Dragor snapped.
He shook his head and went back to pacing around. "we could become part of their pride you know" Frayer said laying down. I stepped away and made my way around behind Dragor. "yeah, I'm positive Sylvia would just love my company" "so we're on a first name basis now?" I asked walking into sight.
"How long have you been there?" he growled. "long enough if you ask me" "well get out!" oh, that sounds awfully familiar" I mocked. He scoffed at me. "why are you here?" "How'd you get in here?" the twins asked. I shrugged. "I guess curiosity got the best of me" "well you know what they say.." Dragor said circling me "curiosity killed the princess" and he pounced on top of me again.
"awkward..." the tree left us there. "will you let me up?!" "I dunno I kinda like seeing you pinned down" he sneered. I swatted at his face and hit his right eye. He growled at me but held me down. "c'mon princess....get up" I struggled, but I couldn't get up. He finally just layed on top of me. "get off!" I shouted. He chuckled. "nah, I'm tired..." I he smirked at me. I bopped him on the nose and he finally let me up.
"I hate you" I hissed at him embarrassed and ran off back to pride rock.
