I heard our father roar, waking up most of the lionesses. He trudged out to the large rock and let out a low growl. "Zazu!" he shouted. The old blueish grey bird flew down and cocked his head. His little assistant following, giving us all glares. "sir.." "wait here".
All six of us climbed up and faced my father. "Garko, Grandi, Frayer, Dragor...." Kovu started, "you're free to stay." he smiled. "What?!" Everyone asked in unison. "Kovu, what's going on?" Kiara asked. "Arrest Mako, she started the fire and blamed it on the outsiders....." Kovu said.
Mako's eyes turned to panic. "Sir! I-I Zazu! Help!" she squeaked. "I saw you start that fire Mako....." the old bird sighed.
Before anyone could do anything, Mako jumped at Zazu and they fell right off of the edge. "Zazu!" I shouted. There was silence, until the flapping of wings lifted my hopes. Sadly, it was Mako who flew away. "Zazu!" Kovu yelled. All of the lions ran down pride rock to were the small blue bunch of feathers lay.
"Zazu! Zazu! Wake up Zazu!" Shindi whined. I nudged him with my paw. He didn't move. Everyone's heads lowered, but Shin kept trying to get him to wake up, when I knew he wouldn't. I heard thunder clap over head and a rain drop dropped on the ground in front of me. Dragor held me in a hug while more rain poured down and Shinid's yelling stopped.
The few weeks were total hell on our part.
After Zazu's funeral, everyone seemed so depressed and sad. Without our little blue bird, no one was on time for anything, and some days the hyenas snuck in without any warning. Grandi and Garko soon took Zazu's place. I never thought they would want that job, but the twins took it, no questions asked and they did a marvelous job.
Now I stood at the end of the rock to the right, Dragor a few feet in front of me, daddy in the middle. Garko and Grandi stood behind Dragor and Zuri and Demtri behind me. Shindi looked beautiful. Her little white bangs were hung to the right and a small flower crown around her head. Frayer had a black butterfly across his neck line.
Mom and Shindi walked forward and mom hugged Shindi and moved with the other lionesses. i smiled as she gave me a teary eyed smile. I chuckled as Kovu gave Frayer a look.
"alright, lets get on with this wedding, can we?" I asked all smiley.

Sorry for the short chapter, I'm running out of ideas and Casey's away for another week or so, so I have no idea what she'd want me to do :/ Thanks for the reads though :)
