Kiara and Kovu argued back and forth whether or not that the tree cubs should join our pride. Frayer did save Shindi....so,like Simba, Kovu owes him.
I layed down and watched them argue amongst themselves. "Kovu! My father allowed you into our pride when you rescued me, now why shouldn't we let him and his friends in?" Kiara asked. "Because! Kiara look at what they've done! They have caused so much trouble, and if they keep it up, we'll be responsible!" "what if they swear not to cause trouble?" "Kiara that won't work!" "Why not?! I mean Sylvia will keep an eye on them!" both of their heads snapped towards me.
"I'll keep watch of that tiger, but the lions are Shin's problem" I shrugged. Kovu let out a sigh "fine, but only if they swear not to cause any trouble.." he agreed and left my mother and I. "I guess you can go tell them the good news.." Kiara smiled and followed her husband.
I stretched and walked down to where the lionesses were sun bathing. "Syl! What brings you here?!" Zuri smiled and hopped down from her rock. Demitri followed. Still the light haired and closely resembling her mother, Zuri, and the dark brown Demitri I always knew. I told them about the lions and Dragor joining the pride.
The three of us walked back to the Elephant graveyard where the boys layed comfortably in a circle. "Way to go Frayer!" Grandi laughed and slammed a paw on his friend. "yeah way to go!" Garko laughed. Dragor just rolled his eyes while Frayer told the story of how he rescued my sister. I cleared my throat.
"Back so soon princess? Fancy another round?" dragor smirked at me. I rolled my eyes at him. "Kiara and Kovu have allowed you four to join our pride-" "What?!!?" "oh man that's so cool!" the twins interrupted me. "Under one condition!" I shouted over their cheering. "what condition?" Frayer asked. "That you two don't cause trouble of any kind what-so-ever" and with that I turned on my paw and started to walk out.
"I'd make my decision now, because the offer won't last long"
The boys huddled and whispered to each other. "all right, we accept your offer...." Dragor said and we lead the way. The boys were getting strange looks and Demitri, Zuri, and I lead them to where my father was. "I believe she explained the conditions?" He asked. They nodded. "And we accept..." Frayer spoke up. "No trouble making" "what-so-ever" the twins smiled.
"Alright...you have my permission to stay here" and with that Kovu left. Shindi walked out of our resting cave and saw Frayer. A smile spread across the two's face and they immediately began talking laughing happily. Demitri and Zuri got acquainted with the twins and Dragor just layed beside a rock and observed.
Timon and Pumba joined me when I was walking through some thick grass. "Hello there princess Sylvia, why are you walking all alone?" the warthog asked. I chuckled. "I just felt like a walk at this time" I shrugged. "where ya headed?" Timon asked. "oh..anywhere for now.." "yeash, that sounds like a drag" "Ha, I'm just not used to the boys yet" I grumbled. "oh...got a case of the..love bug?" "what?!" "nothing, c'mon Pumba lets go find us some grubs..."
I shook my head at those two. I walked down to the waterhole and began to drink. It was getting late, so I walked back home. I watched the lionesses pile in along with the twins and Frayer. I looked around for Dragor, but could seem to find the young tiger. I saw a glimpse of white. He was laying on the place where Scar, Simba's uncle, stayed most of the time.
"why are you down here? Everyone else is inside..." He just shrugged and turned away from me. I brushed the thought of staying with him and walked up to the cave and curled up in my corner. It was a particularly cold night, so I was awake most of the time. My mind wandered back to Dragor, he was still outside.
I climbed back out of the hole and saw the guy shrivelled into a corner and shaking. I walked down into the place and stood in front of the wind. "you should come in.." I said. He gave me a look and shook his head. "Dragor...c'mon" I said stepping a bit closer to him and held out a paw. "go away! I don't need you!" he growled at me. "fine, then freeze and die! See if I care!" I snapped back and retreated back to my corner.
The wind didn't die down, it just increase the later it got the colder it was. I tossed and turned thinking of the poor animal that lay outside probably dying. The wind got so unbearable I shuffled forward to find someone to cuddle up with and stay warm. I didn't bother opening my eyes. I finally felt the paw of someone and curled up beside them. I was finally able to sleep.
In the morning I opened my eyes to see everyone huddled together in a huge bundle of lions. I yawned a bit and nuzzled my face into the body beside me. When I realized there was another body beside me, I opened my eyes and jumped ten feet back.
Dragor was sound asleep. His paws were sprawled out like he had been holding someone. I flushed and ran out of the cave. I went down to the waterhole and sipped some water. I watched most bird fly by and waited for my friends to come and meet me under the tree.
Demitri, Zuri, Garko, and Grandi soon joined me and I watched the four flirt and play around. My stomach growled at me, so I left the two couples and went for a hunt.
I was crouched behind a heap of stones. I was careful. The herd of zebra had no clue I was stalking them. I leaped out and snagged a weak and small one, just for myself. I ate and watched more hunters take pray. I also started to play with a small butterfly that caught my attention.
I walked back to the tree and saw that Frayer and Shindi joined the other two happy couples in playing games and laughing. I sighed and layed on a rock and watched. they made it look so easy. Having a mate. I worked alone, a mate would just slow me down, hold me back. But there was a part me that wanted to grow up and have cubs, teach them how to hunt and watch them grow up and maybe meet my grand kids.
I chuckled at the thought. "They make it look so damn easy all the time.." I heard grumbling below me. I peaked over the edge and saw Dragor just shaking his head at the six by the tree. "I don't see the need in a mate....they'll just be another weight to drag" I listened to the tiger gripe. Atleast one person knew what I felt like.
"Looks like I'm going to be alone for the rest of my life, and that's just how I want to be" "oh really?" I seemed to startled him. "how long ha-have you been sitting there?" he asked glaring at me. "long enough.." I shrugged and placed my head down on my paws. "you know, I'd never thought of the day when you cuddle up to me" he smirked. "well, I was half asleep and cold, I was going to cuddle with whatever and whoever i could, what your excuse?" I asked.
Dragor joined me on my rock and we had a decent conversation about what would happen if Frayer and Shindi, Grandi and Demitri, and Garko and Zuri had cubs. He actually got a few laughs out of me and I him. We stayed on that rock then he brought up a touchy subject. "what do you think?" he asked. "rephrase that" "I mean...about cubs and a mate....what do you think?" "the same way you do, but I would love to have a cub or two....teach them how to hunt......play...." I rambled on.
I noticed Dragor starring at me and I stopped what I was saying and nudged him a bit. He shook his head. "no,no I'm listening princess" he smiled. I rolled my eyes at him and we continued to talk a bit.
Dragor doesn't seem too bad.....
