The Beta's Mute Omega

Chapter 3

When Alec got home that night, I had just finished cleaning the last room.

"Bitch!"

Oh, no.

I quickly go to the room that Alec is in.

"Bitch, I want you to meet someone. This is my new Beta, Jase. Jase, this is the Omega and, sadly, my sister, Allison."

I keep my head down so as to not upset the new Beta. That is the last thing that I need.

I hear someone walk up to me. I dare not look up from the floor. Next thing I know, I am on the floor. I hear Alec laugh at me. I still don't look up. I know that if I do, than the beating will be worse.

I hear Sam whimper in my head and I know she's upset that our brother is hurting us.

Sam, why are we waiting until tomorrow?

We are waiting until tomorrow so that we would know for sure that our mate is not in this pack. I don't want to be here any longer than you do, but we need to make sure.

I feel my brother kick me in the stomach and punch me in the face. I don't move. I take it just so that I can get less of a beating this time.

Why does he hate me so much that he has to hit me? I get that I am the cause of Mom and Dad's death but that doesn't mean that I did it, does it? No, it doesn't. I miss my caring brother. The brother that would be there for me when someone hurt me. The brother that told me he would kill my mate if he hurt me. I miss that brother.

When Alec finished my beating, I stayed on the floor for a while so that my body didn't hurt as much. Just as I was about to get up to go to my room, I heard someone walk towards me. I try to stay completely still but I start to shake.

"Shush, I'm not going to hurt you. I would never hurt my mate."

Mate? Sam, do you know if he is our mate?

I can't tell yet, we have to wait until midnight to tell if he is telling the truth or not, until then, I say to trust him but be cautious.

I whimper and uncurl a little. I feel him lift me up and start to carry me somewhere. After a while I feel him stop and shift me so that he can open a door.

He sets me down on a bed and goes to walk away. I involuntarily whimper at the loss. I feel the bed shift on the other side of me. I feel an arm wrap around my waist softly so as not to injure me even more. I feel Jase softly kiss the side of my neck.

"Sleep well, my mate. I will get us back to my old pack soon."
