The Beta's Mute Omega

Chapter 4

I awake to the feeling of shocks on my back, neck, and waist. I turn and see Jase on the bed next to me with his arms around me.

I guess Jase was telling the truth.

Yeah... But what about our escape.

I don't know. I don't want to leave him, but he is the Beta.

I stop talking with Sam when I hear Jase sigh. I snuggle into his chest a little more.

"Good morning mate. Did you sleep well?"

"Yes," I whisper.

I feel Jase rub his nose against my neck and take a deep breath.

"Good. But I don't want to get up when I could hold you."

I hum in response. I don't want to leave his arms.

"BITCH! GET YOUR LAZY ASS DOWN HERE NOW!!!!!!!!!"

I sigh and go to get up, but as soon as I start to move, Jase tightens his arms around me.

"Why do you let him call you that and control you?" He asks.

"A couple of years ago, I think it was four actually, I was out for a walk in my wolf form, when a group of rogues came out of the trees. I howled for help and the first people to get there were my mother and father. The rogues attacked them instead of me. My mother was the first to die. My father went crazy. I don't think I will ever get the scene out of my head. My father attacked the rogues and was just about to kill one, when the leader attacked him from behind. The leader snapped his neck. My father never saw it coming. The rogues ran when the rest of the pack got closer. My brother was the first to find us. I watched as he took in the scene. His eyes, they were caring and scared when he first go there, but by the time his eyes reached me, they were cold and filled with hatred. Since, he was the new Alpha, he demoted me to the only omega of the pack."

I hadn't even realized I had started crying until Jase wiped away the tears on my cheeks. Jase kissed my lips lightly.

"I didn't know that, I thought that it was something else. I am glad you told me though. Thank you."

"BITCH! Where the HELL are you!!!"

"I had better go. If I don't, then I'm just gonna get hurt even worse than the beating he has in store for me already."

Jase looked sad that I get beat, but there isn't anything we can do about it. I go to get out of bed again, but Jase pulls me back and gives me a lingering kiss on my lips. When he pulls away I get up again, but this time, a lot slower, not wanting to get out of bed now. I am just getting to the door when Alec bursts in.

He looks around the room and sees Jase on the bed and me by the door. His eyes turn black as he grabs my hair and drags me out the door and down to the basement.

I watch as Jase starts to follow us. I want to tell him to stop. To go back to his room. That I will be okay. But I can't. I am too busy screaming in pain.

I know exactly what's going to happen in the basement. Alec literally throws me down the stairs to the basement. I hear him slam the basement door and Jase start to pound on it and yelling. As Alec starts to walk down the stairs, I start to shake even more.

"Please Alec. I-I didn't do anything. J-Jase is my m-m-mate."

"I don't give a damn if he is the moon goddess's son and your mate. You are not to be with anyone."

"W-what? W-why?"

"Because you were supposed to die that day. Not my mother and father."

"Th-they w-were my parents t-too."

"IF THEY WERE YOUR PARENTS YOU WOULDN'T HAVE KILLED THEM!!!!!!"

"But I didn't k-kill them. I-it was th-the r-rogues."

"Oh of course. That is ALWAYS your response."

That is when he hit me. Right in the stomach. I know I should have expected it, but it still hurts from him. I can still hear Jase at the door. I can tell that he is slamming himself against it to get it open. Alec starts kicking me in my stomach. I can tell that Jase can feel it because he starts pounding on the door harder. When Alec is tired of kicking me, he walks away. But I know that this isn't over.

I hear Jase ease up on the door a little, thinking that it was done. But I know better. I hear Alec walk to the side of the basement that is opposite the door. I know that he was grabbing something that he would use against me in the worst way possible. I try to get up to escape, but I fail miserably. I watch as Alec walks back over to me. I can see the knife glistening in the low lighting.

"A-Alec, p-please don't do this." I beg.

He doesn't say anything as he walks over. When he gets to me, he holds my head in place as the cuts my neck right where my vocal box is.

When he is done, I try to scream but nothing comes out.

Alec decides that that I enough for today and goes back upstairs.
