~Where are we going always reflects where we came from~

¡A planet of peace!
The artisan colony of the planet Kiros had created a society without weapons. Instead of war, they pursued art and beauty. But in the Clone Wars, even peace-loving worlds were seemingly forced to choose sides.
Flasback
Hours after their transport touched down on Coruscant, Anakin practically dragged (Y/N) straight to Padmé's apartment. She'd been a wreck ever since he'd told her that both (Y/N) and Ahsoka had vanished. Her usual Senate work had been completely forgotten-papers piling up on her desk while she waited for any news about the two kids who'd become like family to her.
Padmé: I was so worried about you. I can't even imagine what you and Ahsoka went through on that awful planet.
She was already digging through her medical kit, hands moving quickly as she pulled out bandages and bacta patches. The familiar routine of patching up her boys was something she'd gotten way too good at over the years.
Anakin: I have to admit it, kid. You broke my record for getting a Jedi Master worried about my actions in front of the entire Council.
(Y/N): Is this a competition now?
Anakin: From a certain point of view... Honestly, I don't see why they're complaining. You saved three Padawans and other potential victims. Between you and me, that walking lizard had it coming.
Padmé: Anakin...
There was that tone she used when he was pushing his luck. She kept working on organizing her supplies, but he could tell she was listening to every word.
Anakin: What? You have to admit, the Council can be way too strict about things that could have helped us end this war months ago.
Padmé: There are better ways to win wars than through violence. Diplomacy and politics exist for good reasons.
Anakin: I never said anything about war crimes. I'm talking about being more flexible with our approach. If we weren't so stuck in our old ways, we'd have a real advantage over the Separatists.
(Y/N): Anakin's right. It's not like the Separatists hold back they pull this stuff every single day.
Padmé: You two are impossible. I swear, spending too much time with Anakin has been a terrible influence on you, dear.
She shook her head, but there was affection in her voice. This was an old argument between all three of them, one that never really got resolved.
Anakin: Hey! That's not fair. Actually, I think (Y/N) has become just as capable as me. You should see him in battle-he's almost as impressive as I am.
(Y/N): Ouch!
Padmé had started cleaning a nasty cut on his arm, and apparently she wasn't feeling particularly gentle about it. Over the years, she'd become the unofficial medic for both of them. Anakin was definitely her most frequent patient-the guy had a talent for finding the most dangerous way to do anything-but (Y/N) had picked up some bad habits from his mentor.
