-Brooklyn's POV-
Once I had gotten dressed and ready for the day, Andy still wasn't accepting the fact that I really had to leave in order to not be late.
"I really have to go!" I laughed as I walked towards the front door.
"No... You can stay a little longer.." He smiled as he wrapped his arms around my waist, stopping me in my tracks.
"Babe, I'm gonna be late!" I say as I try to gently remove his grip on me.
"Fineeeeee, I guess I can be without you for a little bit.." He states overdramtigcally. I already knew that he was pouting without even having to turn around.
"I LOVE YOU!!!!!" I yell back as I grab onto the handle of the door. "Oh! We have a doctor's appointment this afternoon. Want me to swing by and pick you up after the interview or do you want to meet me there?" I smile back at him, waiting for him to answer.
"I guess you can just pick me up. We're gonna find out the gender today, aren't we?" He says as a huge smile overcomes his features.
"Yes!" I nearly squeal as I run back to give him one last big hug before I leave.
"I love you both so so much." He whispers into my neck, before planting countless kisses on my neck and jaw.
"We love you so so much." I respond before I stand back. "Now I really have to go!" I yell back as I step out the door.
"Looks like rain.." I think as I look towards the sky as I walk down the sidewalk to the car.
As soon as I get inside the car, huge raindrops begin to pour down from the sky.
"Of course.." I mumble as the engine starts up.
-
As I get closer to the building where my interview is being held, I can barely see through the heavy rain that has started to pour. Something just feels off. I don't know what, but something just does.
As the light ahead changes from yellow to red, I begin to ease to a stop, trying to ease my nerves as well.
I really hope this interview goes well.. Then we'll get to finally find out what our future child is going to be..
Once the light finally changes, I ease onto the accelerator.
Bright lights catch my eye as I turn quickly to see what it is.
That's before those bright lights collide with my car.
-
With one hand gripping onto the ceiling, I wrap my other arm tightly around my stomach.
Please stay safe baby.. It'll all be okay.. Mommy will protect you..
Repeating those words, I just pray that the car will stop flipping and hope I'll be alive by the time it finally does.
Stay awake.. Stay awake.. Stay awake..
I hear the shrilling sirens getting closer and closer.. Please hurry..
Andy....

Andy's POV
I really hope her interview's going well.. Then we'll get to see our little baby..
I smile to myself as I sit down on the couch, searching for the tv remote that always seems to get lost within the cushions.
Once I finally locate it, I turn on the tv, flipping quickly through channels trying to find something of at least a little interest.
BREAKING NEWS! flashes across the screen as I stop on the local news.
"There has been a bad accident out here on the Interstate. All traffic has stopped. I've just been told that there may be one fatality." As the reporter finishes her sentence, I see one of the cars that was involved in the accident in the background. No.. no.. no..
As I process what has happened, my heart feels like it has just stopped altogether inside of my chest.
"NO!" I shout as I abruptly stand up, as hot tears begin to slide down my cheeks, blurring my vision.
The side table collides with the floor, scattering it's contents everywhere as I grab my car keys, rushing out the door.
I'll be there soon baby.. Just hold on..
-
The scene playing out in front of my eyes was absolutely chaotic. EMTs rushing around, glass shards scattered all across the pavement, miscellaneous metal pieces, and blood. There was definitely a lot of blood.
I'm still unsure of how I got here safely without causing an accident of my own. I think I knew that I had to get to my two babies as fast as possible. I think that drove my adrenaline. That was my sole purpose.
As my eyes frantically try and focus, I stop on something familiar. Its our car, or Brook's car I should say. It's an absolute wreck. It's also flipped over onto it's top. Before I realized it, I was already making a run towards the car, despite the many officials running after me, trying to stop me from getting any closer.
Despite all the glass scattered on the ground, I immediately drop to my knees once I reach the car.
"Brook! Baby, can you hear me?" I yell, looking at her still body that's held against the seat by her seatbelt.
I almost pass out from the sight in front of me. Her left arm is hanging besides her body, while her right arm is wrapped tightly around her stomach. But something is off. Her stomach.. No. No! This cannot be right. My mind must be playing tricks on me.
There is a huge gash across her stomach. One that cut directly through her shirt. And through her whole stomach.
"NO." I shout as I yell all around me.
"Sir, you need to step away." One of the officers tells me as he grabs ahold of my arm.
"No! Listen to me. This is my fiancé. She's-She's pregnant.. And there's a huge gash across her stomach.. Please help!" I yell back as fresh tears spill out of my eyes.
All I remember after that is the officer yelling to the EMTs and then them rushing towards us. That's all I remember..
-
"Now love, this will explain everything. I wanted to wait and show you when I was able to actually get up and move around. Let's take a little walk, shall we?" Brook tells me with a small smile as she grabs ahold of my hand.
As we walk down the corridor, I can't help but constantly looking over at her.
Where could she be taking me?
Once we reached the end of the hallway, it all clicked.
Tears began to brim my eyes as we walked inside.
"I'd like you to meet our little peanut."
