Chapter 8

Hayley's POV

I love how close Lacy and I had gotten. She had told me about her argument with Patrick and I couldn't help but feel terrible for her. Nothing had been sorted between Kris and I. We haven't even spoke to each other which created even more stories. I felt really bad because Lacy and I were going to Pittsburgh. Lacy wanted to surprise Beau and I so wanted to surprise Kris but I didn't exactly know if we were friends or if what happened was just him being nice. I decided that it would be better to text him just to know where I stood.

'To: Letang:)

Hey Kris, I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry for the way I acted the other day. I was so annoyed for reasons that I would rather not explain over text. Please dont be mad at me :('

 He sent back a reply almost instantly.

'From: Letang:)

Mad at you? You're so funny Hayley. I'm definitely not mad at you. I thought that you were mad at me so I didn't want to text you. Hey, how about we skype and you can tell me the reason why you were annoyed :)x'

I couldn't exactly skype him when I was getting ready to go to Pittsburgh. I told him that Lacy had just picked me up so that we could go and see Patrick. He totally believed it too. Lacy and I made our way to the airport and got settled on the plane ready for our flight. Once we landed, Lacy told me that she had a surprise for me. I got super scared but when I found out what it was, I was super happy. Olli freaking Maatta was our ride! I love Olli! When we got out to his car, he hugged Lacy and smiled at me.

"Hey I'm Hayley." I greeted.

"Beauty queen? Tanger has spoke about you." I smiled widely and we hugged before we decided to head off to the arena where we were going to surprise the guys. Well, it was more like Lacy was surprising Beau. They had something going on even if Lacy was adamant that they were just friends. We pulled up at the arena and you could tell that Lacy was super excited. 

"Okay, so this will either go really good or really bad." Lacy spoke as we walked towards the entrance of the arena.

"Its obviously going to go well Lacy, Beau will be so happy to see you!" I reassured her. 

"I just text the guys separately. Kris is in the gym downstairs and Beau is just going on the ice to work on his shots." We both nodded and Olli smiled at someone behind us so I turned around and saw Sidney.

"Hayley? Lacy? What are you girls doing here?" He asked.

"They are surprising Tanger and Sunshine." Olli explained. "I'll go down to the ice with Lacy. Can you go and show Hayley where the gym is??" Sid nodded and we went out separate ways.

"So, what's up with you and Kris then?" Sid asked making me blush. "You like him don't you?" I nodded and he smiled.

"He likes you too Hayl." I blushed even more and we walked to the gym. We walked in and saw Kris on the treadmill. "I'm going to leave you now, but you have my number right?" I nodded and he walked out. I walked over to the treadmill and Kris looked up into the mirror and immediately turned to face me as he stopped the treadmill.

"Hayley?" He asked with a smile on his face. "I would hug you but I'm like super sweaty." He said as he got off the treadmill and stood in front of me. I laughed and wrapped my arms around his torso. He hugged me back and I looked up at him, he looked down at me and kissed me but quickly pulled away from both the kiss and the hug. "I'm so sorry." He whispered. I laughed and placed my hand on his cheek before kissing him again.

"That's why I was mad about the rumours." I whispered as I pulled away. 

"Well, do you possibly want to get a coffee?" I nodded and he took my hand in his. I definitely didn't expect this to happen.
