Your Hands Look Like They'd Fit Perfectly in Mine

Spencer's POV

I walk into the coffee shop, awaiting the arrival of West, my internet friend who I'm meeting for the first time. We've been talking for a year or so, but I'm extremely nervous. I'm afraid she'll meet me and then realize I'm absolute trash and never want to talk again. I really hope that doesn't happen and that everything goes well. I sit down at a booth, not ordering coffee yet since I'm already anxious enough, and I'm really early so if I ordered one I'd keep ordering more until she got here.

I tap my foot and turn on my phone. No messages. I go to West and I's chat on iMessage and stare at the phone blankly, like just staring at our messages will make her text me. After a minute or two I sigh and turn my phone off and set it facedown on the table.

I lean back in the seat and try to calm down, when I hear a ding. I immediately grab my phone and click the power button to see if it was West. "I'm on my way!! See you there! 😜", I read. My stomach tenses and does that weird knot-butterfly thing.

I bite my lip trying not to smile too big. "Okay! See you soon!! 😆", I text back. I squeal a little and fall back in my seat. I take deep breaths and then tell myself that everything will be alright and will go perfectly... Hopefully??

I sigh and get back on my phone. I open tumblr to calm down and distract myself. Before I knew it I'd been laughing at memes for thirty minutes (thankfully the café had free wifi!!!) and it was almost time for West to be getting here! I ex out of tumblr, sit up straight, and "casually" stare at the door. I wait a full minute (and still haven't blinked) and then I see her.

My eyes go wide and my jaw slightly drops. She's even more beautiful in person. Long, dark hair; the prettiest green eyes; her frame; the way she walked; her smile. Everything. Wait, what was I thinking??? Do I- no. No. No. Pushing that thought to the back of my mind (even though I know this is how stuff like this always goes. It'll resurface eventually).

I then smile and jump up, trying to not look too excited as I make my way over to her. "Oh my god!! Spencer!" She says as she brings me into a hug. "West!!!" I exclaim as I hug her back tightly.

We let go and make our way over to the girl at the counter, who looks our age or a little older. Maybe around 19 or so? "Oh you're finally ordering?", she says in a disgusted voice while smacking her gum. "Oh... Um. Uh... Yes. Sorry... I was just waiting for my friend. But she here now, so.", I say timidly. "Whatever," she snarls "just order something and then get out of here." I just stare at her for a minute and then she adds, "Please" in a sarcastic tone. "Um. Okay.", I try to say as confident as possible. We then order and get out of that café ASAP as to not stir up any trouble.

"Hey I passed a park on the way here! We could go there!", West suggests as she sees I'm a little mopey from talking to that negative café worker.

I looked up from the ground "Yeah that sounds cool!" I said, cheering up. "Okay, let's go! We'll take my car.", West says as we walk down the sidewalk to where she parked and we hop in.

West's POV

I smile and crank the engine of my black SUV as Spencer gets into the passenger side. I was so excited to meet her, she's even more amazing in person.

Her smile makes her eyes crinkle and she lights up the room when she walks in. Her short light hair sparkles and makes her impossible to stop looking at. Why is she so goddamn irresistible???

I then hear Spencer calling my name. I come back to reality and realize that I'd been staring at her and not even paying attention to the road. I frantically look back at the road and end up swerving. Everything goes by me really fast and I can't see anything or where I'm going. It's all chaos and my vision's blurry. I think we're spinning. My mind hasn't even registered what's happening. Then everything goes black as I hear an ear splitting crashing sound...

Hey, Jax here. So this is my first ever story!! I have a lot of big plans for this, I guess we'll just see what happens and if anyone likes it lol. Also maybe I'll add in some more characters as the story progresses?? I don't know. Anyways. I hope you have a great day!! 💟💟💟
