Raven was extremely nervous, today she would be starting the academy. She couldn't wait to meet witches, wizards and elementals collectively called the gifted. Raven looked outside her carriage, fixing her tiara in the reflection. The crown princess of a powerful vampire country was to be around the people, that once she graduates will rule over.

The carriage landed at the castle letting out the twelve year old princess, who couldn't wait to meet her roommate and start school. She was greeted by the principal, Miss Wyane.

A gifted herself, Nicole Wyane took over the once vampire dominated school and made it equal.

"Welcome Princess Raven of Lico" she said, in a rather stern but kind voice. "I have come to take you to the diamond common room myself, the new school term begins officially tonight."

Raven knew already that she wasn't getting any special treatment for being a princess, she was practically told so when she asked to come here.

Raven began to play with her raven black hair like she does when nervous, all the happiness that she felt was gone.

"Princess! You know not to do that" shouted her caretaker. "I don't know how you're going to behave without me" Violet rolled her eyes and stopped, she was glad that she didn't get to hear that old hag's voice for the rest of the year.

Go and die, Raven thought. She never really liked the replacement of her old caretaker, Annie.

Annie would give her candy in exchange for every bad habit she didn't do. It is what helped her stop sucking her finger and wetting her bed amongst other things.

Bertha was the opposite, she yelled a lot, hitting her even just for existing (yeah she tells her exactly what she hitting her for, way to scar a child for life).

The principal held her small hand, as she walked her voice booming about how great it was to be chosen by the princess of an important country and something else, Raven had already zoned out and was looking around to see two adults than two children exit an old door.

She was confused but didn't say anything putting down her head. It is not like she needed to as the principal gasped loudly and called them both over. The two who introduced themselves as Darren and Fae were promptly scolded by the Principal but were given an oversight once they said they were first years. Raven looked at the two, they didn't seem like they came from Altraria. They caught her gaze and in a rush of judgement, "Hi I'm Raven" she put out her hand " Let's be friends"

The two were almost frozen but one who introduced themselves as Fae spoke up first. Shaking her hand, she told her that she was happy to make a new friend earning a scoff from Darren. Raven was relieved that her split-second judgement turned out to be alright but she could hear the warnings of her mother to chose her friends wisely because of her position of princess of the most powerful Vampire run Queendom. Raven chatted with her new friends throughout the tour, marveling at all the things that that the school had. They were dropped right back at the Diamond common room once finished

"That was awfully short" Fae groaned

"Indeed, now what are we supposed to do" Darren sat on one of the available couches. Packed with students, new and old the Diamond common room was always busy before sorting time. Ah, sorting time, while the Diamond house was infamous for it's parties, The Garnet and Amethyst house was the sporting houses, though Amethyst house was also considered the fun house, Pearl was the intellects and Lapis Lazuli and Quartz were often considered the Royalty houses. Fae wondered what house her friends wanted to be in, explaining what the houses were infamous for.

"Hmm, I want to be in the Amethyst house. The others don't seem like my kind of thing" Fae said

"I disagree, I want to be here in the Diamond house but Amethyst sounds cool" Darren answered

"I want to be in Lapis Lazuli, partially because it's common room is under a lake and there's mermaids in the lake." Raven loved mermaids and they were often very friendly to her. They spent the entire time talking until the intercom. "Time for dinner and will all first years be taken to the orientation room."

They were excited as they were taken by a sixth year to a room filled with just enough chairs for everyone.

"Welcome, first years to the Luna Academy" Principal Wyane started "Hope you all are quite ready for the adventure ahead of you."

"You all have come from many many different countries, kingdoms and even planets to learn how to train and control, your powers and abilities to be able to become successful members of your home area's society."

"Amongst you are, Vampire,Werewolfs,Demons,Gods,Gifted and the list goes on and on." "Here we have everything you could ever need and everything you could ever want however there is some rules"

She went on talking about all the different off limits zones, and talked mostly about all the different rules, though she only mentioned the basic and more important ones. Fae was soaking in every word, she didn't want to miss a thing.

They were also given the instructions of how to sort, with Darren making the snide comment about the school not being a complete rip-off of Harry Potter. Raven didn't understand the reference but didn't say anything and neither of the two bothered to explain it despite both knowing what he meant.

"Now students let's move off into the hall" The trio was pumped but scared about the possibility of not getting the same house despite their newfound friendship. The first of the three to go up was Fae whose last name was Adam. She looked at the glass bowl of clear gems, taking a deep breath she put her hand in. It was freezing but she pulled out one of the stones, gasping at what it changed into.
