Chapter 14 -Shifting

When we got home I had this sick feeling in my stomach. I think I drunk to much beer. I ran to the bathroom when we got home. I barfed. I felt someone pull my hair back. I couldn't focus on that person. I kept vomiting. I stopped vomiting are three runs to the bathroom. My mom gave me some pills.

I went to bed. I woke up with someone speaking in my head.

Kendra it's me Ruby

I'm trying to find the perfect time to shape-shift you into your werewolf form.

But why do I need a person speaking to me in my head.

I finally stopped talking to Ruby. I plugged my beats into my Samsung. I put on pandora and my favorite song came on.

I heard a knock on the door. I took of my beats and paused the song. I walked to the door and opened it. It was Cruz.

"What do you want Cruz?" I asked annoyed. It was one in the morning.

"There are goblins in my room. I want help scaring them away."

"Okay let's go."

We walked to the guest room. I pretended to hit the goblins. So did Cruz. Once we scared the goblins away he asked my to sing to him. My grandmother taught me to sing before she died.

"Sing fight song."

"Ok. Like a small boat on the ocean. Sending big waves into motion. Like a single word can make a heart open. I might only have one match, but I can make an explosion. And all those things I didn't say wrecking balls inside my brain I will scream loud tonight can you hear my voice this time this is my fight song take back my life song prove I'm alright song. My power is turned on starting right now i'll be strong and I don't really care if nobody else believes cause I still got a lot of fight left in me a lot of fight left in me." I heard a soft snore. I got up and left. I strong hand gripped on my wrist.
"You have a beautiful voice Kendra."
"Thank you and good night"
"Good night Kenny."
Then I left.

I woke up because I couldn't breathe. I saw Jenny on top of me yelling wake up.
"What do you want!"
"We are going to karaoke."
"But why in the morning?"
"It's 1 in the afternoon."
"Well it's Cruz's fault for telling me to help him scare goblins away from the guest room."
"Ok just get ready we are leaving in 30."
I got out of bed. Got in the shower and brushed my teeth. I put my undergarments on. I picked out a blue crop top and black skinny jeans. I put on my favorite blue converse.

I walked downstairs. Cruz and Lenny were already changed. They were talking about something.

"So what you you guys talking about?"

"Rogues. Many of them are targeting our pack."

"Well maybe my pack can help. My dad is the beta."

"Ok just let me our alpha and you ask yours."

I got out my phone and called the alpha.
"Hi tio. I wanted to ask you if you can help with rogue problems at the blue moon pack."

"Yeah we can but we need permission from the alpha"

"Ok just wait a minute"
I put my phone to my stomach.
"Hey Lenny did you alpha say yes."
She nodded. I brought the phone back to my ear.
"Tio you still there?"
"Yeah what did they say?"
"They said yes. They want you there by next Monday."

"Ok te Amor bye mija"
"Bye tio."
I walked out the door and got to Cruz's car. They were waiting for me to go inside the car.

But before I got in I fell to the floor. I had pain. I screamed. It hurt a lot. Cruz walked over to me and carried me into the garage. My mom came running in. She came to my side.

"Honey your shifting" she sounded calm. But I didn't care.

I screamed louder it hurt like the devils own cartel shooting me. I heard bones popping. I felt the pain go away a little. I opened my eyes. The pain was gone. I heard a voice in my head.

It's over you shifted

You shifted look at your hand.

I lifted my hand. It was not my hand but a paw. It was black. I looked at the mirror inside of my garage. I was a wolf now. I had black fur with specks of white and gold. My eyes turned purple instead of there regular dark brown. I heard a voice was in my head. But it wasn't Ruby's.
"Honey you are beautiful. Once you learn how to heal. You get your other powers. You have a different ability than just healing."
I looked at her.

"Honey you can talk to anybody in you pack by mind-linking them. Just think of who you want it talk to and say what you want to say. If you want to stop just stop thinking about that person."

I thought about my mom.
"Mom how to I shift back?"
"Think about your hair body eyes."
I blocked her out. I thought about my body and my hair. I thought about my dark brown eyes. I heard cracking noises. I opened my eyes and looked and my hands. They were back to normal. I looked down. I was naked. Cruz, Lenny and Jenny were here.
"Look away" I hissed. They looked away. My mom brought a towel. I put it on. I ran to the house.

Yay she shifted. Sorry for not updating sooner. I was having pain and family problems.
