Emmy Grayson has nothing in common with Griffin Cutkosky, except for the fact that they're apartment neighbors and both share equally paper thin walls. So when Emmy wakes up in three in the morning due to Griffin having a freak-out in the hallway, she does the only thing she can think of - go outside and try to calm her exhausted and on-the-verge-of-a-panic-attack neighbor down so he can get into his apartment.
And then it all starts from there. It's awkward exchanges in the hallway, Griffin occasionally helping Emmy with philosophy because she's dangerously close to failing, and Emmy finding herself constantly barging into Griffin's apartment to vent because he's kind of a ridiculously good listener. It's weird and awkward, but it's a friendship and the two of them find themselves growing closer and closer.
Then the police show up at Griffin's apartment, and it all begins to crumble.
The police are reopening the ten year-old, unsolved murder case of Natalie Cutkosky, the woman who was found dead in her living room by her two children. It's when Griffin begins a general decline that Emmy gets worried, because the warm boy she's grown close to has become cold. It's on more than one occasion that Emmy finds Griffin screaming in his apartment, or practically breaking through the paper-thin walls as he bangs against them in the middle of the night.
There's nothing she can do but watch Griffin fall deeper and deeper, until she realizes there's more to it. Like someone pulling the strings; tearing Griffin apart piece by piece.
</ new story! I'm really excited about this one because it's something different, so please let me know your thoughts! Thanks guys, I hope you all enjoy it :-)
