A year later ~~~~~~~¢¢¢

I think it was Friday. Or it might have been Saturday. Jame, Jared and I were outside making the most of the sun while it lasted.

"Tag your it!" Jamie shouted to me as his hand taped my shoulder.

Tag, okay I know childish game, but Jamie wanted to play it and it's actually kinda fun!

I spun my head to see where Jared was. When I spotted him a bit behind me, staring at me I made a run for him except he made no move. I was confused but didn't slow down. It was only when I was a meter away, a smile forming on his face, did he make a sudden move to the left.

Idiot! I should have seen this coming! Stupid, stupid stupid! I thought to myself whilst chasing after him. He looked behind him and laughed. Even though I was annoyed at myself for falling for Jared's trick seeing him smile made me automatically copy his smile. I laughed back. Although I was fast, Jared seemed to have gotten faster since we first met. Damn it. I pushed my legs faster until I was very close. I chased him around as he ran in circles, zigzags and then when he knew I was very close to him, where ever he could damn run.

I hadn't noticed until I saw him out of the corner of my eye that Jamie was sat in one of the two deckchairs that we had found in the caravan. He was watching me and Jared, laughing at us as I endlessly got so close to Jared but then he would take a sudden turn.

I was getting out of breath, and becoming very fed up of going around in circles. Suddenly an idea came to mind and a smug smile creeped onto my face. Jared was facing in front if him so couldn't see me. I dropped to the floor and screamed. Although I wasn't a very good actor, at the sound of my scream Jared came to an abrupt stop and spinning around an alert expression covering his face.

I put my head against the floor so he couldn't see my total fail at a pained expression and held onto my ankle.

It had barely been a couple of seconds and I could sense him kneeling beside me.

"Mel!? Mel are you okay?" I heard his knees crack as he bent down. I felt him brush my hair back, that was forming a curtain around my face, and felt the tingles he made where he touched my face in the process.

I waited until he had helped me stand up and then I took him by surprise.

"TAG!" I laughed, making a run from him, except I epically failed and ended up tripping over my own feet in my mad rush and fell face first to the ground.

"Eeeek!" I screamed as I fell. Jared didn't react as fast as he had before, probably not wanting to fall for another trick, but trust me, I was not joking this time. I swear I could actually feel my nose bend and my face hit the floor.

Although he faltered it was only for a second as I am guessing that he had seen me and knew it was no joke. I was moaning in pain, tears streaming down my cheeks. My whole face felt numb with pain, and my head began to spin. It wasn't until a warm liquid seeped into my mouth did I realise that tears were not the only thing that was coming out of my face. I could faintly feel my body being lifted up and a voice calling my name, but it was far away and even as I tried to open my eyes, it was as if my eyelids did not belong to me.

"Mel!? Mel, come on stay awake!" was the last thing I heard Jared say before I slipped into unconsciousness.

I opened my eyes, squinting as I lifted my hand to cover my face as the sun beamed through the window. I groaned and sat up, resting my elbows on my pillow. I got my hand at an angle so that I could see properly and unsquint my eyes. Now that I could see properly I got a good look at my surroundings and was instantly confused. I was in a bedroom, like a proper one like you have in a house not a caravan one. In front of the bed was a dresser with a large mirror in the middle and around the mirror was a jewellery stand, makeup box and pictures. Pictures of me and Jared. And a picture of when I was a baby.
