My eyes blinked open. I don't know how long I was unconscious. I was in a hospital and my skin felt crusty and burnt. I looked around but no one was in my room. Not that long later, a nurse walking in and saw that I was awake.

"How long was I asleep?" I asked the nurse.

"A few days sweetheart. Your school is being rebuilt for this winter." The kind nurse answered. The nurse had blonde locks and she wore a blue robe. Her name tag said Chelsea.

"Alice..." I murmured and my eyes closed.

"What about Alice?"Chelsea said quietly.

"Alice.....fire...."

"Oh! You are concerned about your friend Alice that was in the fire. She is unconscious in the other room. "

My burnt face managed to smile. Chelsea saw how I was happy and tried to get me up and out of the bed to walk around.

"Your parents have been visiting you. Would you like to talk to them?"

I nodded. Soon enough, my parents came in and talked to me. It hurt to talk to much so I listened and told them how I felt. Later, I was fast asleep again.

The next day, Chelsea came in and gave me breakfast and burn cream. She asked me if I wanted to get up and see Alice today. I nodded and smiled a little bit, so we started our journey to the room down the hall. It wore me out, but wasn't to hard.

"Alice!" I murmured. She opened her eyes when she heard my voice. Alice was burnt everywhere and had some cuts from the building. We were so happy to see each other. We spent the rest of the day sitting in the room talking and Sophie even came to visit us.
