The first day of school was a blast; it reminded me of when I lived in New York, with all my friends. It's nice knowing that I am one of the wizards that actually knows most of the school subjects that aren't at the wizard academy.
That day during lunch, Alice walked into the room with a staff member. I saw her instantly and ran up to her. Aria followed me and I quickly introduced her to Alice. Alice seemed really quiet though. Not like she normally was.
"Uh.. Hi? I'm.... Alice."
"Alice? You okay? You aren't usually this shy. I thought you would love Aria! She is funky and cool!"
"But.. Maybe not. Samantha, can I talk to you separate?" Alice quietly said. Alice and I walked away to the corner of the lunch room. Aria stayed back and ate lunch.
"What is it Alice?" I asked.
"There is a problem her you know? I figured you knew since you got here. These kids are NOT wizards. They can easily tell the whole government that was are wizards! That's not good. And Aria has other friends here! Look over there." Alice said. I looked over to Aria. She was talking to some non-wizards.
"She is going to get the idea out that we ARE wizards. Kids will spread that around," Alice said.
"And wizards will be banned!!" I finally got what she was saying.
"The fact that almost everyone here doesn't know how to do this kind of math, this might become a huge problem."
We walked back to Aria.
"What we're ya guys doing over there? Talking about meeeee??" Aria laughed. Alice and I didn't. "Why ya so serious?"
"We are fine Aria, just remember to be careful," I told her. Alice winked at her and then we left.
